Braves have got off to a better start than expected. Not sure how sustainable that is with guys like Preston Tucker and Ryan Flaherty playing out of their minds, and Freddie Freeman having an OBP of well over .600 and the team hitting nearly .500 with RISP.
But have zero complaints about the offense.
Pitching as a whole sucks. Folty has been solid, but Teheran still can't pitch at home, and we've yet to have a starter finish 6 innings.
Bullpen is shaky at best. Haven't allowed many runs, but they play with fire most every inning, and at some point, that will bite them.
All in all though, I'm pleased. First time we've been 2+ games over .500 since April of 2015. I know it won't last, but I'll enjoy it while it does.
I'm confident that the offense will be competent all year. I doubt we'll see many more 15 and 13 run outputs, but 5-6 runs per game isn't out of the question. Pitching will keep us from getting anywhere though.
