Sorry to hear that...same when I lived in NJ...transplants from the north play year round here, but ATL is a 10 mo golf season for most of us. You'll get a handful of 50 deg days in Jan/Feb, but Labor day through Thanksgiving is great golf weather here.

That sux, Packer. I've never experienced an off season for golf. I can't imagine what that is like without playing year round.

Yeah... we have our last "event" of the year this weekend.

It's called "tough day"... Greens will be around 14-15 and the pins will be put in the most ridic spots imaginable. I've heard that 1 hole we will be using a persimmon driver, balata ball and a wooden shafted putter. There will be other little things too that havent been divulged. It's a 4 person scramble and you have to pick up when you get to a triple.

Yes, there have been many X's in this format before

I generally go a couple of weeks into Nov. Thanksgiving is usually the drop dead point unless we get lucky with the weather. We should have a few weeks left here in SE MI. Played a couple of days every month of the year a couple of years back.

Well I suffered through 95 degrees and 70% humidity and still managed to average better than a round every week through those 4 months of misery, so I am soo looking forward to some continental air to make it down the peninsula, they say it's going to make it down here tonight. The wife is taking her parents to Ft Lauderdale tomorrow, so I am planning a 3:00 tee time tomorrow, weather should be BEAUTIFUL.

We play year round down here in Arizona.

Figures...with your game you'd be playing year round!

I have played golf in the high desert in ABQ...6500 ft up @ Paako Ridge, but never the AZ desert...We Ko Pa is on my radar among others out there.

You can't take it too serious...sounds like a lot of fun to close out the season.

I hear ya, not quite as bad as you guys, but Jul/Aug is pretty tough on you with all these hills.

Labor day to Thanksgiving is ideal here...wrecked my knee a couple of weeks ago so I'm laying off it for another few weeks but this Sat. is forecasted to be 66 degs & sunny so it'll feel like 70.

Anyway...hit'em well!

the rule in the land of cheese is that if the course is open, you play

unfortunately, winter appears to be coming much sooner than usual with lows below freezing this weekend - that is why I don't think I will be playing beyond Sunday

of course, next week is a different story if the weather cooperates :)

Oh I definitely dont. In fact, I hardly play at all once football season starts & already know I'm going to be miserable due to a low of 28 degrees that day.

One of the best courses in the state.

I gotta make that happen sooner rather than later then.

I played here my last round (1st with my new irons)...Dahlonega is mountains for us, but the course sits in a valley along a river basin, flat as a pancake...it routing around and across the river and it tributaries drive the slope up, but it's a very fair track...nice members too.

Nicklaus did a great job with it.
