This is the concern with AP. Its not what skills he has left, but how much pounding can his body still take. Can he make it through a 16 game season? Probably not as a workhorse back. This year it will be RB by committee. AJ will get 12-15 rushes per game. Kelly/Perine about the same. IF AJ gets more than that, he won't hold up.It is hard to say how weak WRs are because they are dependent upon the QB, unless they are dropping passes.
You could say the same about RBs needing an OL, except we lack talent at RB and we are talented on the OL.
With that being said, it is the RB. AP did the same thing last season but maybe his body wears out as he ages. CT is coming back from injury. Kelly sucks. Who knows with Perine?

Honestly? Probably not. I am souring on JG. Once again, it appears his team will break from training camp not ready. He has yet to win an opening game. At what point do you change things up?I don’t see a pitch count on him because JG isn’t that smart. It would be more like 5 yards good run, ten yards did you see that, etc from AP. Then you see 2 yards from Kelly with no excitement or vision...do you really think JG would be able to see AP on the bench?
What if AP doesn't hold up? The drop off is pretty steep, a point that been made several times in this thread.
True but we are really in trouble if CT goes down. I think Perine could be serviceable. Everyone should be excited what AP can bring to this team. Plus safeties will have to respect on running game more opening up our TE's and Wr''s.
