I can't get past a Batman movie being named number one of all time in America so the entire list is now kinda fucky for me. Maybe I'll check this thread out later, but that just threw me for a loop and I might be triggered or whatever it is the kids these days are doing. Planking? Is that still a thing?

This. When Omar posted this thread, I clicked on it, saw his top ten and left.

This is what happens when you binge on Dexedrine. I made a top 100 list of all movies, all time. As many of you know, I rate all movies I see on a scale from 0-5 with half stars after I watch them. For this list, I started at movies I ranked 5/5; ordered them, then 4.5/5; ordered them, and so on. I got down to some movies in the 3.5/5 territory to complete the list. Yeah, that was Vietnam. If you hated Apocalypse now you might not like Platoon either. I might be biased on that one because I saw it when it first came out and afterwards there were a bunch of Vietnam Vets in the theater saying stuff like "that's what it was like maaaan"

Platoon is probably the most serious attempt at an authentic view of Vietnam imo. Oliver Stone served there and it's based on his experiences.

Films like Steel Metal Jacket, Apocalypse now and The Deer Hunter seem like more stylistic depictions to me.

Steel Metal Jacket is my favorite of the three. The first half is downright amazing. The second half isn't bad either.

Do you mean, "Full Metal Jacket"?

Now now kids, be nice. 2003 is older than me. Give an aged brain some slack.

I just looked it up. It's the one directed by Werner Herzog with The Punisher from Netflix's Daredevil co-starring in it

I gotta respect you @Omar 382 for making a list, nice job. I mean no offense when I say if tHoop didn't know you were real young they do now after viewing the list.

Let me suggest a few if you don't mind.

The Outlaw Josey Wales
The Bridge on the River Kwai
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
The Treasure of the Sierra Madre
To Kill a Mockingbird
Double Indemnity
Jaws

I saw To Kill a Mockingbird in middle school and enjoyed it. I saw half of Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest and got bored. Thanks for the feedback and recommendations!

tUltimate top 50
Dude, in case you didn't realize, you can sweat your balls off making a bomb top 50/top 100 list, and people will still tear it to shreds (even without making their own) because they don't agree with it. Fucking amateur to t'Hoop, that's what you are
