Alright. I am done making fun of all the pole smokers with the knee jerk reactions on the board. Oh my god, whoa is me. Let's all jump off the perverbial bridge.

For God sake, everyone needs to relax a little bit. Shesh.

Just one fucking loss. Not the end of the world. Everyone who was expecting 10-6 or so thought we would lose to GB, but we won. They thought we would beat Cleveland, we lost. It evened itself out, still on track for our one and done playoff appearance, so let's all just chill out a little bit.

Not just one fucking loss, but a microcosm of Dalton's entire career with the Bengals. Maybe you have time to wait for him to get better, but I'm too fucking old to wait while this team has talent. We need to get a quarterback. Yesterday, already.....

I don't think we have nearly as much talent as people want to think, and Dalton is just a piece of the problem as far as players go. I don't care what PFF says, I think we suck a lot more t han their statistics say we do, in MANY areas.

Of course you do. That's the only way for you to deflect the criticism from Dalton.

Dalton blows. How's that?

There are several other areas on this team that blows too. Including the fan base.

Because we don't like Dalton?

Areas this team is weak

QB
2nd receiver (partially accounted for by good tight end play)
Coverage Linebacker
Safety

That's about it.

Center
1st Team RB
3rd WR
1st Team TE
2 of the 3 LB slots.
Depth behind Leon Hall, as I think Newman is aging and letting guys get too many catches in front of him for 3rd down conversions, everywhere at saftey, minus Nelson.
Starting punt and kick return specialist
Offensive coordinator
Head Coach
Owner

etc etc.

We need:

C
CB depth
Coverage LB

Honestly that is all I can really complain about. Illoka has played very well IMO. I have no qualms with him or Nelson.

Agree, he has stepped up, and figures to only improve.

Center play has been better this year and line play overall has been a strength.

You can't gain yards if you don't run. I don't consider BJGE to be 1st team and Gio to be second team -- I look at them as a back by committee group. In fact, Gio carried it more yesterday.

Gresham is wildly inconsistent but through the first few games we are getting good production by the tight ends (as a group)

Our DB play against GB won us that football game.

I get it that you get your panties in a bunch when people blame Dalton..... But the fact is that it is a qb league and when you don't have a good one, you will lose games you should win. Look at that NE offense..... They don't have 1/4 of the talent we do, but they do have Tom Brady and that's enough.

Iloka had one good play yesterday that I can remember, the rest of the time, all I saw was him, like the rest of the secondary, trailing the Brown's WR who had already caught the ball and created the 1st down. I can't say any of that was his fault, but the secondary yesterday, in general, was not inspiring at all. I know Nelson and Hall were missing, but for F sake, it was the Browns.

Oh knock it the F off. I don't care about Dalton, I care about winning. The difference is, I know, Dalton is not fucking going anywhere for the next 5 to 6 years, so we may as well get fucking used to it. You can bitch and moan and complain all you want, but all that bitchjing moaning andf groaning is never goign to turn into Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, etc. So everyone may as well drop the fucking subject, seriously. What is the fucking point?

If I could, I would most definitely trade Dalton for several QB's in this league, but it is not going to happen.

You nab someone in the draft, and yowu ill have to wait 2 to 3 years to develop them like any QB really, minus those few rare QB's that have come out lately. Plus, with our talent for getting QB's in the last 20+ years, what makes anyone think we would make the right choice once we have to make that decision again?

I can accept Dalton for who he is, no one else can really. I accept him, only because I have no fucking choice. Understand now? So no point in fighting a losing battle for the next 5 to 6 years.

How are these two thoughts compatible in any way?

If you didn't give a fuck about Dalton, you wouldn't spend your day trying to throw everyone else under the bus for his lousy performance.

I am not throwing everyone under the bus for his lousy performance.

I am throwing everyone under the bus that had a lousy performance, INCLUDING, BUT LIMITED TO Dalton.

I didn't say he wasn't. I said I OBSERVED one fucking good play. The rest of the time the secondary was running around chasing WR's like a fag chasing his boyfried around the livingroom. "Oh come here you slippery little devil. You know when I catch you, I am going to pounce on you like a little kitten, meow, and then grind on your leg when we are laying on the turf. Mmmm hmmm."
