any suggestions on making this as smooth as possible.
I probably have the worst addiction that you can think of

Good luck.
I did that awhile ago. I don't drink or smoke; It was always sugar.
Kinda surprised I didn't get diabetes.
You can't really quit sugar all together. I'd err on the side of doing it slowly. When you get to cutting soda, one thing that really helped me was starting to brew my own tea (packaged tea is loaded with sugar). It made the caffeine withdrawal non existent. Are you planning on giving up starches?
How's the battle going?any suggestions on making this as smooth as possible.

Are you being literal about being a sugar addict; i.e., attending OA meetings?any suggestions on making this as smooth as possible.

You can drink coffee with artificial sweetener, they all taste a bit different, find one you like.Im on diet cokes now and have been for 10 years - its the coffee (5 cups a day loaded with sugar and creamer) which is really where I am cutting back.
definitely going to go lite on starches. I do plan on doing a little whole wheat pasta and stuff like that. I have tried squash spaghetti but that is difficult to get used to

Sorry to hear about the family stuff. Maybe try it again in a few months.I failed miserably. But a lot of family shit is causing less sleep
Thankfully I've always been a black coffee type guy. But I've found that green tea is an excellent source of caffeine as well.woof. good luck, buddy. i drink coffee and tea on an almost-daily basis and there always has to be at least a spoon or two of sugar with each cup, but i don't drink soda...no way i could go without at least SOME sort of caffeine in my bloodstream, i'd be the most unpleasant sumbitch that ever lived if I attempted to go sans-sugar.
Godspeed, friend
