as much as it would piss you off, i would love for the flyers to offer sheet the crap out of JT so the isles couldn't match (if that's still available when his current contract is up, i dont know the details).. he absolutely terrifies me everytime the flyers play the isles.. if he weren't doing it mostly on his own, he would be right up there with the malkin's/crosby's of the league in points i think

Tavares signed a 6 year extension during last season with an average cap hit of 5.5M per year. He ISN'T going anywhere!!

Some guy at the grocery store just congratulated me on my contract and then asked if I would pay for his groceries. Kind of weird

I hate to give credit to Lowebellini (it's more fun to mock them), but that's a great term and dollar figure for Eberle...

They've definately spent thier money wisely.:bounce:

Giving Hemsky $5 million per season for the next two seasons was a WTF moment, and the contract Lowe gave Horcoff continues to haunt the Oil. I bet they can't wait to unload HappyBoozin.

/see I was right, it is more fun to mock them :D

Sam Gagner waiting patiently.
oilers might wait until next year so that 8 point night doesn't skew his numbers
but then adding yakupov to the squad means more scoring talent down the lineup to play Sam with
(instead of about 1/3 of his shifts with Belanger and Jones)

didnt they only give him the one year contract this summer?

i see the coilers bloggers are all happy that this marks the internal cap ... 6 million per ... no one can go over

so i guess theyll have Hall Yakupov Nugent hopkins and Eberle all making 6 shmill in a couple years :noidea:

If RNH keeps putting up good numbers, I can easily see him north of 6 million...

yah i thought so ... which led to my post (#5) in this thread

Sam Gagner must feel so loved

The past couple of offseasons there's been talk of Gagner to the Islanders because of his friendship with Tavares. It's known that Krueger wants Streit & the Oilers inquired. They were told Streit wasn't available. It will be interesting to see if the Oilers wait until the offseason when Streit is an UFA or try to make a deal for him come December or so. I'm sure it will depend on where the two teams are in the standings.
