Is you actually said last week that Crazy Jimbo was a 1st team All American back in '86. Talk about a laugh riot!:pound:
Yeah. 2nd team all-american, 3rd place in the Heisman and a 1st round pick in the NFL is a laugh riot, I guess?

Changing your story I see. Well that's typical. You said he was a 1st team AA in '86 though. Odd that you have changed your bullshit comment from what ya originally said. 1st team, 2nd team, 3rd team...no difference huh?:pound:

The best part of this -- I think you actually believe what you just typed. No one is angry, no one is trying to take him down -- he does that on his own.

Feel free to read -- then tell us all how NFL coaches, former players, the magazine, etc. are all angry and trying to take him down.:pound:

From champs to chomped: How Urban Meyer broke Florida football
He does that on his own? Weird, because all I see is one of the two most successful coaches and recruiters in the nation that isn't getting ripped apart for pulling scholarships for no good reason while sleeping with his recruits.

By the time you need to be down to 85 in August you'll be fine.

There is always attrition.
Unlike certain posters here, not necessarily you, but my opinion on coaching practices does not change because my school has started to do it.

He had an entire story in a national magazine with a 3 month investigation on how he blew up one of the top programs in the country and you are talking as if a pulled scholarship is a big deal. :L

I have news for you. This isn't the first year he has done it and it won't be the last (talking about dantonio) So u may as well get used to it.

What I mean is you are going to see that it's not as bad as people make it out to be.

Attrition happens on it's own.

You do realize I posted a retraction after the original post and explained they just had him listed as all-American and didn't mention 1st or 2nd team.
I realize 2nd team all-American, big ten player of the year, 3rd in the Heisman and a 1st round draft pick in the NFL doesn't compare to a coach that once played one year of football at Cincinnati -- but not everyone gets those type of opportunities.

You mean an opinion writer at a 2nd-3rd tier sports magazine at best (not even one of the 10 most popular sports magazines in the US) wrote an article that is basically only ever brought up by Urban haters, such as yourself. Wow, you can really tell it had a ton of merit when his "investigation" led to nothing.

Meanwhile, all he's done is taken the ultimate job he's ever wanted in his home state, won a national championship and set up the Buckeyes for immense future success.

Like I said, sounds like you're just pissed that you can do nothing to disparage him but speculate.

Yeah. Players he recruited and played for him are speculating. Amazing how truly blind Homer fans are. It is very entertaining to laugh at you though.

Will be even funnier if he does the same thing to OSU. From the players comments about the coaching staff and play calling after the MSU loss. It really looks like he rules over the team with an iron fist. :pound:

You won't hear me argue that Michigan is better than anyone right now. Unlike OSU fans, I don't have blinders on and I'm not in denial. I guess u missed where I said UM has been brutal for the better part of a decade, or when you have nothing to come back with, you ignore what I've said and ramble on. Newsflash. Beating UM isnt something to write home about. We were 5-7 last year. Predictions had UM winning 7 or 8 tops this year. The only legitimate top team OSU played was MSU. In a year or two, hopefully michigan will be part of the elite again.

Yes OSU dramatically oversign as do many many teams, some far more than others. And just like fans of every other team that does so OSU fans plead ignorance or jealousy. It's not a big deal. Programs like OSU have a ton of kids wanting to go there and some of them end up getting fucked over. It would be nice though if some teams fans just owned it and admitted it. Happens all the time.

I don't have a problem saying that Ohio State, like many other big schools, "process" kids at time. I do have a real problem when people make their minds up while ignoring inconvenient facts that don't fit their narrative.

When a new coach arrives, many of the kids in the program may just not fit what they want to do. #Some# fans believe everyone does it except them and the same "reasons" kids move on from their program are "excuses" from those "dirty" schools.

Jamel Dean seems to be the one everyone likes to bring up even though all logic points to him simply not being able to play because he was unable to pass his physical, nothing shady.

Tell me - in Urban's 4+ years here, who else has been "fucked over"?

Actually michigan won 10 games last year. Also, was Notre Dame not a top team? I seem to remember them being top 10 entering our bowl matchup and, after we whipped them, finished 11th.

I'm not in denial of anything but your hysteria about Meyer. What happened at Florida happened at Florida. Since being at Ohio State, he has a sterling discipline record, hasn't had even remotely close to the issues with kids getting in trouble like at Florida (which, as it turns out, was a continuous thing under Muschamp and even this last year under their new head coach), and aside from the Dean situation (which I've explained very logically with facts vs. your method of shear speculation), there hasn't been a single situation of a kid getting "screwed over" by Meyer.

Meanwhile, not only has michigan decided to rip away scholarships from committed players out of the blue, but you had the same situation happen with Ondre Pipkens that happened to Dean. Honestly, I think what happened to Pipkens is unfortunate, but it happens. The michigan doctors must've seen something the Texas Tech doctors didn't and didn't think it was worth the risk for him to play further, same as OSU with Dean. But unlike you, I'm not sitting here trying to think up some BS about Harbaugh just trying to push him out of the program to make room for recruits. Why? I'm not that sad and petty.

Pipkins was a starter at Michigan and played regularly from his freshman year on. Comparing a player who suffered multiple concussions over the three years he played at the school to Dean's situation when he hadn't played a single snap of college football is pointless. I'm still waiting on the player that had his career ended from a torn meniscus.
And when I say you are in denial, your response of actually believing this proves the fact. Did you miss where Urban Meyer has removed FORTY players from OSU's team that had eligibility remaining? FORTY in 3 years. Do u know, no team in the NCAA has had more roster turnover than Ohio State? These aren't players leaving for the NFL or choosing to transfer. These are players removed from the team with eligibilty left on their scholarship.
Yet, you truly believe the only shady thing Meyer has done is Dean.

Word to the wise. If u want to be a top program like Alabama. You have to be cut throat, which is exactly what coaches like Meyer and Harbaugh are. Saban is the king of it right now. But Meyer and Harbaugh are no different.
I wholeheartedly admit. Harbaugh will be doing the same thing and it is shitty for the players involved. But if you want to continue putting together top recruiting classes. You have to trim the fat. That is why these coaches are paid millions. Not to be nice guys. They are paid to win games. The quicker u understand, the less excuses u need to make for your coach

And Michigan wasn't a top team last year. They were a top 25 team, but nowhere close to a top 10 team. Same goes with ND. Quality team, top 25 team, but not a top 10 team. MSU is the only top 10 team OSU played last year.
