I hate to admit it, but Texas was the last hope to keep you from a national title.

Nah you gotta give ND more credit than that for what they’ve done to get to this point.

Their coaches have overcome many injured players and made adjustments with the players they do have to seemingly at the very least compete with anyone.

As a Lions fan, I’m sure you can appreciate and understand the parallel.

hope you are right, but ND has a legit shot IMO.

Maybe you’re right, but I just don’t see it.

They beat Georgia with a backup QB, Indiana, and a Penn St team that pretty much lost to every ranked team they played during the regular season.

I think Ohio runs up the score on them the first half, like they did against Oregon. I don’t think ND has a chance.

I give OSU the edge for sure, I personally think there’s another factor being the football culture at ND giving these players a reason to play their best not having been to a Championship game in almost 40 years.

Correction I guess they did go in 2013, but haven’t won since ‘88

I do think OSU has had talent advantages against ND in the past few years when we played them and both games were really close. also think Freeman a fantastic coach.

But of course hope you are right.

OSU opens as a prohibitive favorite at 9 1/2. So I guess ND has virtually no chance. Unless of course the "Luck of the Irish" decides to make an appearance on Monday night.

I am afraid that if we win, then Ohio State will have a NOA against it and Ryan Day will go to a NFL team and have a show cause against him. Cannot believe the NCAA hates national championship winners that they do those kind of things against them. Sad.

ND Has arguably the best defense in college football and you think OSU will run up the score?

Long time ND Fan here 1969 to be exact. People have been writing ND off b/c of one bad game and the fact that they are an independent. The assumption is that ND plays a weak schedule b/c of it. Simply not true

Do I feel OSU has a better team top to bottom? Yes I do, do I think OSU will win? Unfortunately I do! Can ND pull off the upset? Yes, and here is how. The ND defense is better than people are giving them credit for, they can slow teams down, so the notion OSU will run up the score seems far fetched to me. You couple this with the ND run game which if it's working can change time of possession and rest the ND defense. In the end of course I want ND to win, I wish both teams the very best of luck and hope and pray there are no injuries the affect the futures of these young men.

I think ND is a very good team. the N.Illini loss was an outlier. Just like the stupid scUM game. (If OSU played them 20 times in a row, OSU takes 19 of them. congrats wolverettes on getting the winning lottery ticket that day. OSU literally didn't show up. It will go down as one of the most unexplainable happenings in the modern world. How did they build the pyramids of Egypt? What actually happened to DB Cooper? and How did OSU lose to mich. with the team they had?)

Freeman is a good coach. I do think ND benefitted indirectly by the sec and acc being down this year though.

I think OSU is just peaking at the right time, and don't see ND getting it done.

The last 4 years doesn't make sense when looking at the recruiting/transfer portal rankings. I'm glad Michigan didn't have to play them twice in those seasons. Winning the lottery is one thing, winning it 4 years in a row is just crazy, and I love that as a Michigan fan.

Ohio will get the last laugh on the season though as they will dominate ND from start to finish next week. Should easily be a double digit victory, and likely the game will be over sometime in the 3rd quarter. I could see the results being a lot like the championship game they played against Alabama in 2013.
