Yeah, the Chargers seemed to try a variation of the Broncos (43-8) and Packers (36-16) tried to do, but Seattle never adjusted to it this time.

Yeah, but with how the Hawks played in the red zone was pathetic, no reason a first and goal on the 25 should end in a TD. If they'd just let the Chargers shoot themselves then the game is more like 22-21 instead of 30-21.

So, not a perfect game for either team, just the Chargers seemed to get out of their mistakes.

Bevell got way too cute in this game with the play calling. He went pass heavy and that isn't who the Seahawks are. The D gave up quite a bit but the corners are pretty thin. Plus when you're on the field for 40 minutes in 120 degree heat it's a miracle they didn't get completely blown out.

Lynch only getting 6 carries is why I say this was a strange game. I guessing that doesn't happen again.

I don't see why they wouldn't go 1-15 now. This loss proves Sherman sucks, Lynch is washed up and Russell Wilson should be in the CFL.

Really though, like others have said, I think this loss could help keep them in check. The defense got punched in the nuts and I have a feeling they are going to take it out on Denver. I'm excited for that game for sure! Hopefully it is more competitive than the last time they met.

What pissed me off was the third down conversions the Chargers got. The defense was downright an embarrasement.

I can't fault the offense since. hey got little time on the field. I want to see Irvin benched. That dilshit penalty he got was the final straw.

6 carries is a little bit but San Diego dominated the time of possession.

San Diego ran 74 plays compared to just 38 plays for Seattle and had the ball for 42+ minutes while Seattle just had it for 17+ minutes.

I think that has more to do with the lack of carries for Lynch than play calling. They only called 25 passes out of the 38 plays and if I had to take a guess I would say at least 10 of those passes came in the 4th quarter when Seattle needed points fast

1. Irvin's got to go. He sucked when he was apparently juicing and now he's just out there to make ridiculously stupid decisions that give up points. They would have kicked a fg but instead they stayed on the field because of his absolutely ridiculous hit out of bounds.
2. Percy Harvin's a football player, not a Ming vase. He needs to be out there earning his paycheck and not some multi-million dollar secret weapon.
3. The fly sweep is cute, but you can't build your offense around a trick play. Bevell fell in love with the read option after being successful for a few games a couple of years ago and hung onto it when it was clear that it wasn't working.
4. The defense needs to bite the bullet and take some of those defensive calls they're focusing on this season because they were WAY too soft in their coverage.

There was absolutely no reason Lynch shouldn't of got more carries. He was effective when he got the ball and we all know he gets better with more carries. Maybe it had something to do with the heat, but we could of rotated with Turbo and Michael.


Offensive line lived up to it's title today...They were offensive. And don't get me started on stupid penalties by Miller(3) and Irvin!! Ughhh...This was a hard game to watch! If not for a botched call on the Harvin TD, the Hawks get blown out today. Worst performance I have seen from this team in quite some time. Oh well....Bring on the Broncos. I'm hoping this will light a fire and get the D pumped up because the Broncos will be bringing their A game next week.

That's easy, look at how often the Hawks offense got on the field. What was it like 5 total drives for the entire game?

The late hit by Irvin on 3rd down when the Hawks D stopped The Chargers that allowed them to score a TD is now HUGE. You take that away and the Hawks are leading 21-20 and they only need to run out the clock late. You better believe he also knows this and feels just awful.
