Do you think his body will turn on him?
I can't say, but I know we have all seen the decline in QBs in their mid 40s. Now TB has taking an approach unlike any other QB we know of. He has been an anomaly

But it happens to everybody and it will happen to Tom Brady.

I doubt he lasts that long but ok.
Yes because at 40 years old he was the NFL MVP and had over 500 yards in the SB loss. He surely is showing decline.

Why do you feel compelled to state the obvious? We all know it will what we don't know is when and what we do know is that he has been a typical in his approach to his game at this age.

I'm not saying it'll be a steep decline but he will show signs of decline at some point.

No, you asked for a reason other than mental exhaustion with playing football that he would skip this OTA.
I don't think it's mental exhaustion at all. TB is missing OTAs because he want time with his kids and family. He is a very family oriented guy, this is not a surprise. And in all honesty he needn't be there.

This could be a blessing in disguise? Maybe he'll come in even more focused since he took more time off and did his family thing?

Hard to say though. What's more important to Brady at this point? His family or his football career?

What the hell does age have to do with anything??? The minute that you start to talk about age, you've painted yourself into a corner. If Kraft or Belichick even mentioned age after playing in the Super Bowl at 37, 39 and 40, I'd say, "Cut me, right now or I'll sue your ass for age discrimination."

I guarantee that the Bills would pony up a 3 year $120M contract today.

Easy killer, just said it.... The Bills might be highly doubt it

I think what has everyone talking about this is because as many have said, this is not the norm for Brady at all. Someone said he is the "first man in, last one out" and people notice this about him. Brady himself claimed how important these off season works out are esp with new WR and OL coming in. We have some new WR, new LT and a new RB that could really benefit from the extra time with Brady. He also talks about reps, and getting the routes down. This is a guy who wants ALL the reps he can get. TB is picky as fuck when these WR run their routes, we've all seen it. It would be one thing if this was the "norm" for Brady, but it's not.

Does he have the right, sure he does....but I have the right as a fan to say "fuck this".....with all the talk that had been coming out since the Jimmy G trade, and now this...you gotta ask yourself: "what the fuck is up"

If it was me I'd put my family before football. I'm sure that's what Brady must be thinking deep down inside.

Montana finished his career with the Chiefs and no one really cares anymore. Brady leaving would be similar to that. Although 49ers had another HOF QB waiting in the wings, Patriots don't have that yet.

Look there is no way TB12 would put football before family. Football is his job, just like any other real man he goes to work to support his family. If it came down to an ultimatum from his family of them or football you would soon the Pats looking for a QB.

No Gronk nor Brady at OTA today, rumors are Brady may not be at mandatory camp in June?

I'm not liking this. I'll go all chicken little here for a minute. I think this is the start to the end.

Brady needs to get into Foxboro soon and start working with Patterson, Britt, Mitchell, Mathews and the rookie.

Some of the rumors I heard yesterday included a new (restructure?) contract for Gronk which cannot be announced/formalized yet and assurances from "sources" that Brady will take part in all the mandatory off season training.

We'll see.

I'm surprised they didn't take a QB early to groom behind Brady for the next 2 seasons.
