I can see a financially exacerbated college student stealing something, and then later in life maturing and realizing it was wrong. I think a lot of people would steal if they had the chance and new they could get away with it. ever lose your wallet? when you found it again, did it have cash in it? if it did, you were lucky.
....
drunk driving, well, I'm against it solely because I don't want him to run into my family with his drunk ass. I agree that there are drivers with alcohol in them. The term "drunk driver" is loosely thrown around to included everyone that's had a drink in them any given evening. There are plenty of folks that after drinking, shouldn't even leave their bed, much less be allowed to drive. it depends on which one he is. I rode shotgun for a drunk driver until I was old enough to drive the car myself, I lived... but I still think its better to have fewer "drunk" drivers in Cincinnati, as a resident of the area.
Mistakes occur and 'kids will be kids' from time-to-time..... That said, any prospect that breaks a law during the three months of 'draft evaluation' clearly isn't very bright. I think it speaks volumes about the kid's character and his potential for future 'mistakes' off the field.
And yes, I realize that there are kids like Burfict that have made plenty of errors in judgement before the combine/draft..... But the errors are different. In some cases it's bad advice or bad judgment -- In others it's just pure stupidity.
Burfict's mistakes weren't legal ones though. He had a ton of penalties during the season, then had an awful combine. He didn't drive drunk right before the combine like a moron. I have no tolerance for drunk drivers. I'm sure I've said this, but I had a cousin killed when he was 3 by a drunk who hopped the curb and ran over him. There's no excuse for it. I hope Ogletree costs himself a ton of money. I guess the Cowboys player who killed his own teammate didn't teach people anything.
Anyone who has 2 or 3 beers at a Reds game is eligible for a DUI if they get pulled over for going 7 miles over the speed limit on I-75. That's the truth, fellas.

You know the dude didn't have 2 or 3 beers..... His agent wouldn't have been so quick to admit guilt. I'm sure he was VIPing it with some champaign or something equally as stupid.
