I'll just say this, I really liked Dan O'Dowd at the draft last night.

I thought he was pretty easily the most useful guy in the group, Mayo was second.

Seriously though, Kershaw has a lifetime ERA+ of 158. The only pitcher ahead of him is Mo, and he's a fucking relief pitcher. Kershaw's won three CYAs and has a 1.86 ERA over his last 3.5 seasons. He's only 28 years old. There's a pretty good chance Kershaw makes the HOF, and could end up being a top 10 pitcher of all-time when all's said and done.

He probably should have at least one more CYA to date, possibly 2.

I didn't realize how much I love Mark DeRosa until he wasn't on Hot Stove this morning.

What's funny is that three years ago I was in Chicago and got a tour of Wrigley Field. We had an option of talking to DeRosa or walking around the clubhouse. Being stupid, I thought DeRosa was a scrub and walked around the clubhouse. Little did I know that was a scheduled part of the tour later on anyway:L

Watching Matt Bush's story right now. It's fucked up. I didn't realize he had a hit-and-run. I'm very happy he's getting better

I can't believe he's throwing 96 MPH at 30 years old

This actually kinda pissed me off...

On Quick Pitch, they were talking about the Rangers reunion of the '96 team, of which Darryl Hamilton was a part. They talked about he was one of their friends and coworkers.

Great. I have no prob with that. But they took it an extra step...

They gave information on a fund to help his kids.

Seriously?

It is horrible that their dad was killed. That totally sucks. I get it.

But dude made $22M over the course of his MLB career. Then he was working at MLB network for a few years. U less he was a complete moron, his kids have plenty of scratch to cover any expenses that may arise during their entire lives. Why should the poor schmoes watching MLB network shell out their cash from a $45K/year job to add to their college funds?

Again, I feel for the kids. But putting together a fund for any pro athlete of the modern era is insulting at best.

Yeah, that's crazy. On the "to do" list of any player getting their first big contract or bonus right before or after "buy mom new house, if necessary" should be "stick 100 grand in a fund to cover kids college expenses".

Longoria just turned on a fastball from Dylan Bundy (first MLB start) for a home run
