The second to last visit weekend is underway this weekend and Nebraska is bringing in some prospects. The big weekend will likely be next weekend and Nebraska tries to sew up the class but there are some serious names of note heading into the second to last weekend of visits for the 2018 class. So who's visiting? Glad you asked....
Maurice Washington (4-Star, RB) [Cedar Hill, TX] - A lot has been made of Washington's recruitment. His stock has shot up in recent weeks after winning MVP honors at the Under-Armour All-America game and he also has gotten his grades in order. Washington was slated to visit Ohio State this weekend but cancelled that visit and is now reportedly visiting Nebraska. The Huskers will have to fight Arizona State for his services but getting the last visit should help.
Dominick Watt (3-Star, WR) [Hollywood, FL] - Watt surprised many last week by committing to Nebraska sight unseen. The 3-star receiver (4-star on Rivals) was supposed to visit the final weekend of the recruiting period but Nebraska moved his visit up to this weekend to solidify his commitment prior to the next week. Watt was initially planning another visit but now will focus solely on Nebraska with no visits scheduled for the final weekend.
Cam Taylor (3-Star, ATH) [Montgomery, AL] - Taylor is a utility player that is most likely in the "fit if we miss out on others" category. He could play a variety of positions including CB, S, RB, WR and maybe even some others if he added some weight. Nebraska wants another corner in this class and if it isn't Taiyon Palmer it could be Taylor.
Matthew Tago (3-Star, ATH) [Lancaster, CA] - Nebraska has been bullish on getting a second QB in this class and Tago looks to be it. Recruited as a Linebacker previously to UCLA, Tago decommitted after the Mora firing and Nebraska stepped in to offer a chance at being a QB. He could move to defense later if needed and Nebraska likes that versatility. Utah and Oregon State are the other two schools in the hunt. Tago is a 4-star ATH on 247 but a low three star on others. One thing everyone seems to agree on is he is physically imposing and dang athletic.
Blake McDonald (3-Star, OT) [Danville, CA] - While Nebraska waits on Jarrett Bell they will be hosting Blake McDonald this weekend. There was talk to moving McDonald's visit to next weekend to give Bell more time but the visit has stayed on for this weekend. Make no mistake, Nebraska wants Bell first and foremost but they will not go down quietly if he is taking too much time.
Willy Canty will not be visiting and does not have a Husker offer
