Second big weekend of the January period, probably the biggest weekend for us with uncommitted or committed players we're trying to flip.... here you go:
Deommodore Lenoir (4-Star, CB) [Los Angeles, CA] - Former Oregon commit before their coaching change he decommitted shortly after the hire of Willie Taggert at Oregon. He visited Oregon last week and will be in town this week. The signs have been pointing to Oregon but the fact that he did NOT commit on his visit or during the in home with Oregon this last week gives a ray of hope. Others in play: Oregon, Mississippi State
Elijah Blades (4-Star, CB) [Pasadena, CA] - Blades has been a Florida commit since April but has kept in constant contact with Nebraska throughout the process and almost visited in the fall. The hiring of Donte Williams got Nebraska squarly back in the picture and he visits this weekend AFTER having already OV'd at Florida a week ago. There is a good chance he flips to Nebraska if his visit goes really well. Others in play: Florida.
Brenden Jaimes (3-Star, OT) [Austin, TX] - It's not often Nebraska can get a quality player out of Austin, Texas that told the home town team thanks but no thanks, but that's what Nebraska got with Brenden Jaimes. He was recently upgraded to a 4-star tackle on Scout and looks to polish things up this weekend at Nebraska. Others in play: none
Bryan Thompson (3-Star, WR) [Moreno Valley, CA] - Thompson is a big bodied WR (6'3" 190 lbs) that Nebraska doesn't have another like on its roster. Currently, he has Oregon as his favorite but he likes Keith Williams and Nebraska would like a big bodied type WR to come in this class. Others in play: Oregon and Washington
Deontre Thomas (3-Star, DT) [Mustang, OK] - Thomas became a hot commodity late in the process with Notre Dame and others sniffing around but an in home visit with John Parrella effectively shut the door on any flip talk. Thomas recently got upgraded to a 4-star on 247 and is rated the #11 DT in the country by that service. His senior film is phenomenal. Others in play: none
Jaylin Bradley (3-Star, RB) [Bellevue, NE] - Bradley was a late offer and commit, the all time rush leader in Nebraska HS football history will take his OV to Lincoln this weekend to solidify his place in the recruiting class. Others in play: none
There may be others that make it... this time of year you never can tell. I'll try to keep it updated.
