Lot of people round here talking about trading Howson and Arniel for Button and Hitchcock.

Little known fact; Hitch still lives three miles from Nationwide.

Not sure how I feel about this. I would like to see some Hitch - level discipline. But there's too many good young kids who need a chance to blossom, which would not happen under capn' Kangaroo.

As for Button... Meh. Only GM that would be worse at this point is Murray.

Button is most certainly worse than Murray. I'm no huge Murray booster but at least as the head guy he has drafted the likes of Getzlaf, Perry, Karlsson, Lupul, etc. Button's track record is terrible. And he's only gotten dumber over the years, if his draft lists and commentary on TSN are any indication.

Keep Howson over Button.

Tallon deserves a tonne of credit for Chicago's success. He put that team together. It grew up up after he left but he put all the pieces in place.

Teemu Selanne. Lots of GM's counted Selanne as being done but he signed him to that one year deal.

Pronger was the missing piece. The year before the Ducks lost to the Oilers in the playoffs. Niedermayer was on the Ducks. Pronger was an Oiller.
