If they both make the squad I suspect they'll play them on the same line. When you're talking about a team that's barely practiced together any familiarity you can capitalize on is big, and it's not like this is Gretzky and Semenko we're talking about.

True, guess we'll have to wait and see if JVR makes the team.

I would think JVR is a lock to make the team, just remembered him

That would be too bad. He's such a great leader.

Also, here is a projected starting roster for some "who should be in? who should be out?" discussion. (current injuries not included)

Offense
Parise-Kesler-Kane
Ryan-Oshie-Kessel
Pavelski-Stepan-Pominville
Brown-Backes-Callahan

Defense
J. Johnson - Suter
Yandle - Carle
Orpik - Carlson

Goalies - Quick, Miller, Howard

Me thinks Byfuglien should and will make the team.
Also if Pacioretty doesnt get a serious look after his last few seasons than the team is being run poorly. Size, speed, and decent hands.

Too much of a hotdog with his goal celebrations though.

Me wonders if the Shawn Thornton incident didnt happen if Donaldo would have talked about that. He is north American so I dont think so, but maybe.

I will be shocked if Miller isn't the #1 Goalie for Team USA.

Miller has former experience with the Olympics, and even though his overall stats aren't the greatest in the World, he still has a .921 SVPCT while facing 858 shots. (3rd highest among goalies)

Quick on the other hand is coming back from a groin injury and has a .905 SVPCT while facing only 388 shots.

Considering the teams these goalies play for, I think Miller's stats are impressive enough to guarantee him the #1 spot.

Martin Jones and Scrivens have put up much better numbers than Quick in front of that Dutter d

Not that I'm upset about it, I'd prefer he be fresh in case the Devils are still in the playoff hunt, but as mentioned on the Devils board, Cory Schneider getting no love from Team USA.

Likewise, Brodeur for Team Canada.

I can't wait for this...I think the team looks as good as it has in a long time.

Anyone know if they will be broadcasting the games live, and if so what time that would be here? I suppose I could figure it out but if one of you has already done so that'd be great :thumb:

I am not sure of the times, but I am almost certain I read every mens hockey game will be on one of the NBC channels.

Yeah, as Austin Powers would say, that train has sailed.

It's a tough situation for the Devils really because he's never going to sit himself down, and they can't really sit him down. But hey, if dealing with that tough situation at the end means getting all of the great seasons, wins and Stanley Cups that came before it any team would happily take it I think.

For the record Marty has been outstanding this season. You actually have to watch his games to admire the intangibles he brings to a team.

Yeah I guess I'm just wondering if they will show them live or on a delay since they are scheduled for the early morning.

I've watched the vast majority of them, I live in Fairfield county so he's a local broadcast for me.
