I wasn’t trying to imply he isn’t good or anything, and ya it was terrible that Covid hit when he was becoming the guy but life is about timing like Ric Flair is lucky he was 70’s and 80’s more than the 90’s. I just don’t think WWE would miss him.

I'd miss him...he is good for WWE. He is a good face that you can get behind.

he just doesn't have much of a gimmick outside of being a good guy who is big and strong and Scottish.

They tried giving him a sword...that was dumb.

Without question I think Drew would actually be good for AEW, I just don’t think any WWE fan would notice if he wasn’t on Raw or Smackdown

I don't necessarily disagree. You go to Hogan's run, SCSA, the Rock, Cena, Reigns etc.. outside of a 5 yr period in the mid/late 90s when they were an ensemble main event scene the WWF/E has always built their company with one major star and the rest of the roster beneath them. The company is built in a way where everyone other than a single performer is expendable.

As great as Roman is I think his advantages over Drew are his lineage and his D1 athletic background. As a performer I think Drew gives you the same virtues with a little more skill in the ring and more polish as a talker.

Tldr; Roman's the biggest star in wrestling because he's awesome and he's had the machine behind him the last 10 yrs but if I could draft anyone else to a wrestling company through 2025 give me Drew

I don’t think he’d really be that missed in the WWE but would be a huge get for AEW if they start touring Europe. IMO a guy like him didn’t need a gimmick, just he was at the top of his game during Covid and it is what it is. I guess my argument would be at the triple threat at Mania did anyone actually want him to win? It seemed it was people wanting Gunther or Sheamus not Drew.

The set up for the WHC Tournament (which will be the Raw title since Roman is on SD) is they will have competitors from Raw AND Smackdown. So if a Smackdown drafted wrestler wins, they are champ and go to Raw for the time being I guess. Why the fuck do they make things so convoluted?

Eh not really, everyone should want the world title so if they do a RAW bracket and a SmackDown bracket if you get drafted to SmackDown it’s not like you don’t want to try for a world championship so if you win it you move to Raw. why do they keep doing this. Are they going to have Bianca and Rhea swap belts like last time? have a match so one of them can carry both of them? Why do we keep putting up with this shit? Miz drafted before Seth Rollins, but they allow Bianca and the Street Profits to stay on the same show because of their relationship, while Seth and Becky are married with a kid and only Becky gets drafted so far? This is after what, 2 years of saying they will split up the street profits so Montez can have a solo career.

All the womens champs are out of NXT. fine, you got promoted, drop the belts, start tournaments. Makes too much sense. The womans champ cant even wrestle. Why did she need to get called up now instead of just showing up at some pay per view.

I saw a pic of R Truth holding the new belt. Defended any where any place, I guess its the new 24/7 title. Will Vince have them bringing referees to supermarkets?

It made absolute perfect sense to give roman the shiny new belt, let him defend it whatever 4 times a year, then let Raw and Smackdown have true TV champions.

I look back at writing a novel and say, I guess this is why they do it.
