I don't follow it rigorously...it's more of a background din than anything, but a couple of nights ago (i believe) they had the paired figureskating, and one of the gals, bounced her noodle pretty darn hard on a triple axle...she was at a 45 degree angle when she landed and just ripped straight down. Her head just bounced.....she got right up, quickly shook it off like a wild animal, and finished the routine like nothing happened!? It was awesome. It'd be hard, as a judge, to not give her bonus points en sech.

Man that pipe is shit tho. Flat-bottomed, which sucks to land and perpetuates shitty sugar snow accumulating at the bottom. The lips are hammered. There are better pipes at 75% of America's shitty ski resorts.

All the snow stuff looks bad. Downhill skiing, a lot of skiers were getting bounced on ridges in the middle of the track, sending them wider on their turns than they wanted to go.

The stuff coming up off their skis and boards looks more like ice chips than powder. The boards and skis are bouncing all over the place, too. It looks like it's tough to control.

But yeah, everyone looked slow in the half pipe. The air wasn't as big as I remember from previous Olympics.
