Pierce is old, but on that Wizards team he doesn't have to be the main person. As sad as it is to say, the Wizards actually have a legit shot at coming out of the East. At the start of the big 3 era, I did not think I'd hear myself just say this 4 years letter.

So anyone have the source that said love would re sign with the suns?

It reportedly cam from a Min beat writer sometime last week I think. Too lazy to search for it. With so much BS floating around, it might take a bit to find it.

That's a good get for the Wiz. 2yr/$10+ mil. Not as good as Ariza but still a good guy for that value.

Pierce is a fine replacement for "contract year Ariza".

I think the Wiz don't miss a beat at the position statistically and actually get better with leadership on that young team.

Lamar Odom's basketball career is over. Unfortunately, Lamar was unable to uphold the standards to return as an NBA player. The Knicks found it necessary to free up the roster spot and they waived him today.

Phil viewed Odom as a project after extended off-court problems and drug abuse and now at 34 he's done. It is somewhat sad yet some of these guys cannot let go of their youth and age invariably catches up with them and they simply don't meet the criteria of competing in the NBA. Something Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, and a couple others will eventually have to face.

What the hell are the Rockets doing?

They bail on a 900K contract for Parsons, trade Asik, trade Lin, trade 2 first round picks....

And they end up with Trevor Ariza for 10 times this price of Chandler Parsons.

huh???

Pierce can definitely help out that Wizards team. He's got just enough left in the tank to help them out and it won't have to carry them since Wall and Beal do the heavy lifting. The Nets relied on him way more than they should have. Maybe more importantly, Pierce can provide championship tested knowledge and insights to them.

They still a need a bench though. Someone tell Otto Porter he's an NBA player.

They swing for the fences and and struck on 3 straight pitches. Tried Lebron, Melo, and Bosh and then were left holding the bag. Shame that had done well over the last couple of years.

So this means Ariza is not coming back to the Wiz.

Heat might lose Deng to Phoenix or Dallas if they don't hurry.
As of last night, Heat & Luol Deng still significantly apart on salary, sources say. Deng's been turning down $10M/year offers for months

He was done when he came to Dallas. Just been trying to steal money for his habit ever since.
