I am calling this now:

We will soon hear Bledsoe to the Cavs for Waiters, parts and a bucket of chicken.

Rich Paul is living off his rep with Lebron.

It's not like there was actually any negotiating involved:doh:.

On Monday's Bickley and Marotta show on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM, Wojnarowski said Bledsoe and his agent, Rich Paul, have "kind of boxed themselves into a corner" after rejecting the Suns' four-year, $48 million offer but being unable to secure an offer sheet from another team. "It's not really a negotiating strategy to say, ‘Max deal or nothing.'" he said. "Restricted free agency is about the agent going out and getting an offer sheet for his player. That's it. It's not about the Suns bidding against themselves. Utah didn't bid against itself with Gordon Hayward, and Houston didn't do that with Chandler Parsons, but their agents went out and got offer sheets, and got max offer sheets."

To clarify, I don't think they were at all devastated that he left.

They might have even been anticipating it, so possibly they felt whatever they offered didn't matter because they knew he was leaving.

Still, to offer anyone a 5 year max is beyond risky if you clearly don't want him.

Yeah, it was a bit of a risk, no doubt. Considering how it's said the meeting went, even as a Lakers fan, I have to admit that the uncomfortable press conference if he had accepted would have been kind of funny.

Any player that signs with Rich Paul is an idiot. That guy has no track record as a free agent. Any respectable agent would've gotten Beldsoe a sweet deal, yet Paul is saying "max or nothing". He's coasting off the fact that he got Lebron a max deal, which I could've gotten Lebron.

I would say 35-40 just bc of Kobe.

If Kobe stays healthy and can play at a high level again, they'll blow past ESPN's predication. Everyone is saying how good he looks when at the practice facility. I'll have to temper my expectations until I see him play during training camp. He's obviously the key to their success.

Schedules out today!

That actually wouldn't be a bad trade for Phoenix....but I doubt it happens.

Cavs open at home against the Knicks. I guess the NBA wants an easy win for the Cavs and Lebron's first game of the return home.
