LeBron 37mpg
Mo 35 mpg
Delonte i banked your mom West 33 mpg
Varejao 29
Z 27
Boobie Gibson 24
Big Ben 24
Wally World 21

THAT TEAM won 66 freaking games ...yah....lol.....thats LeBron trying all 82...well, he sat out game 82 when the cavs lost the last game at home in OT to lose only 3 games at home al lyear

Most of those guys on that team actually played several years with Lebron. The Cavs top 4 players after Lebron has never played with him ever.

I am just a little leery of team that have at best "AVERAGE" or "BELOW AVERAGE"defense.
The 2009-10 Cavalier had the leagues best defense to carry them to 66 wins.

I cannot remember the last time an average or below defense won anything.

Maybe the Miami HEAT in 2006....

But for the last 15 year or so, all the champs had lockdown defensive teams in the top 10.

not really- the year before is when they made the huge trade sending out hughes and company and getting wally, wallace, west

and drafted gibson the year before- and that was mo williams 2nd year- in a trade for i think joe smith and damon jones in a salary dump

the only guys that had been with lebron for more than that as their 2nd year were Z and Varejao and maybe pavlovic......

On paper this Cavaliers defensive potential looks worse than any of the last 15 title teams.

So, I am not giving them 60+ wins UNLESS they show remarkable defensive improvement.

I think they win more like 53-56 wins because of expected bad team defense.

i just dont see them losing more then 5-6 games at home at the max....and winning a good amount of road games...

the team is going to be hugely motivated- unlike other teams they WONT lose games they should not lose- and they will win almost all of their home games- thats the formula for getting a high win total more than anything

i mean- Miami doesnt win that many games because wade sat out 30 games and they cut mike miller....and stuff like that- the spurs sat a ton of their guys during the year- OKC lost westbrook most of the year....

Cavs win 61.....we shall see what happens- gonna be a really fun season

He would be a very nice add to your heroes Russ. Still has offense and can still bring serious defense. Mavs will miss him.

If the Cavs get Marion all it means is that a quality player will be getting less minutes than they deserve.

Miller & Marion are both SF. If you want to go small and play one of them at PF you're taking minutes away from Thompson. If you want one of them to play SG you're taking minutes away from Allen if he signs

Marion can DEFINITELY play some 4 and not have the lineup be that small- especially against 2nd units and against certain teams

and Thompson can and has played some 5 against certain teams that dont have real centers or dont have real backup centers that were currently in the game

a guy like Marion would just add to your depth ....

plus him and Allen would give your team a little veteran swag i think the Cavs could use...

if the Cavs get Allen they would have 8 guys...if they got both Allen and Marion they would have 9....and 9 sound about where id like to be for depth purposes

that doesnt count delledova or haywood or the rooks or jones though either...but those guys are probably more fit to beat the end of the roster- unless powell or harris really show they deserve rotation minutes...which ya never know how that goes...Daniel Gibson was a rookie and won game 6 against detroit by hitting like 8 three pointers ..... both Powell and Harris i think have a little bit of a chance to maybe do something

From what I'm hearing Ray Allen's leaning towards retirement.

The Cavs are playing with fire soon.

They're going after very old veterans with their top 3 still being young/or in their prime.

When you're old father time hits you out of nowhere.....Just ask Shane Battier

Let's say they get Ray Allen & Marion, I assume their starting lineup would look like this

Kyrie
Waiters
Lebron
Love
Varejao

This means their primary bench guys would be

John Lucas (31)
Ray Allen (39)
Mike Miller (34)
Shawn Marion (36)
James Jones (33)
Tristan Thompson (23)

You really don't want your bench rotation to consist of guys coming towards the end of their career

Miami rolled out with a bench similar in age. The Spurs carved that up in a hurry.

thompson is def first off the becnh- and lucas is gonna be gone in that trade-- Delledova would be their backup PG unless they get Barea- and Powell and Harris- the two rooks are def gonna see a little time here or there in blowouts to see what they have....

and dont befooled- Waiters might start- or he might not- but if he starts he will be th first out and get a lot of minutes with the 2nd unit while a sharpshooter like allen or miller plays the 2....ideally i think thats how they would do it- if waiters even starts at all...

but if they only trade one of their first rounderse inthe deal- they still have 2 to add talent next year to bring along slowly to keep adding to the team- which isa good thing---
