People numbers would drop

Those guys are not going to avg the same amount of rebounds as they did on their previous teams. They will take rebounds from each other which would lead to less rebounds for each player probably especially.

The way you're talking is like they're going to avg 55 rebounds per game

oh i totally understand that every player on that team will see their averages go down in some respect by all playing together - with all that talent on one team- there are only so many stats to go around

but that does not change the fact that Varejao is a great rebounder- and one of the best offensive rebounders in basketball- and that love is probably the best rebounder in basketball- and that LeBron - for a SF- is probably the best rebounder at his position- and that Thompson is a young guy who continues to improve who is a very good rebounder.---

Chicago is also a GREAT rebounding team- and that goes a long way into helping a defense- denying the other team 2nd chance opportunities

Thompson avg 9, Varejao avg 10, Love avg 12, and Lebron avg 7.

Do you really expect 4 players on one team to combine for 38 rebounds on their own per game?

Yes?

Saying that the Cavs with Love should be a good rebounding team is very reasonable. He didn't put exaggerated numbers with that statement, you guys are doing the exaggeration here.

it kills me for the Cavs to trade him- still very torn on it. like i have said- id prefer they enter the regular season with what they have and see how it plays out- and hope the price on Love goes down the closer minne gets to the deadline- but it does not look like that is happening

Yeah, cause he has no clue what will likely happen at this point.

He obviously doesn't. He was on sportscenter today wearing a Cavs jersey.

Lebron is probably avoiding all of his message, e-mails, and phone calls just like he did with Pat.

Those players numbers were accomplished under totally different scenarios.

James likes to be surrounded with 3 point shooters, who often do shoot.
Those missed shots are usually rebounded much more un traditionally.

Again, show me the rosters that the Cavs will actually have on the court together vs listing players names.

Also, characterizing this action as coming from LeBron is innacurate.

The facts are that LeBron, unlike many NBA superstar, has always been completely hands off in letting the front office do their job.

Does his presence cause a FO to make moves from a win-now perspective? Of course. Does his FO want to make moves they think will please him? Of course. He obviously has an impact on what they do, but to be accuarte, they are doing it... Not him.

Funny that you mention the star player and the owner but leave out the person who actually has the responsibility of handling trade scenarios.

Lebron is clearly running the Cavs. I get it that since you're a Lebron lover you don't want to believe this is true but you think Lebron mistakenly left out Wiggins in his letter? Let's be real

Gilbert probably told him in the meeting that they will do everything in their power to package Wiggins in a deal for Love and I would not be shocked if he (Gilbert) picked up the phone and call Minnesota about the propose the trade the days before Lebron officially announced. Trust me when I say this. Lebron knew that they were trying to get rid of Wiggins in favor of Love before he signed with them. This isn't something that came out of the blue after he signed with Cleveland

Yeah I watched that this morning
I think he is handling an awkard situation very well.

I definitely believe he knows that his future with the Cavs is in serious doubt. For that not to be the case he'd have to both be gullibale and have people in his camp straight up lying to him.

I agree that Love for Wiggins was proposed before Lebron came to CLE, but that was clearly no guarantee so LeBron was willing to commit either way.

I'm not trying to say LeBron doesn't have a huge impact on what the Cavs do.. I just think the commonly portrayed notion of Lebron pulling all the puppet strings is completely innacurate.

I pointed that out earlier.

If you are James, and talking about being excited about playing with young talent, Wiggins would have been the first named mentioned.

Unless you already told Gilbert that your 1st move as new player/ GM was trading him for Love.

Cavs fans are happy LeBron went back home.

Heat fans are pissed he left.

You're naive.

He was promised whatever he wanted, and them allowing him opt outs every year is what will hold them accountable.

Totally different discussion, plus hard core Heat fans publicly said beforehand that we'd prefer he would leave vs having to deal with his opt out/ analysis every summer.

Chances are that if the Cavs don't win in the next 2 years, that the Heat will find their way back to championship level before James does.

Its as easy for you to call me naive as it is for me to call you bitter and cynical.

The best they could promise was to try and get Love. It is definitively clear that LeBron committed to the cavs with complete uncertainty about the possibility of playing with Love.

exactly- leBron is not making calls and proposing trades-

just because Mike Miller signed for 2 million and James Jones took a league min. deal- LeBron is the GM?- cmon-

LeBron has no clue the ins and outs of the incredibly complex salary situation- and the Cavs are not going to gut their team to get Love- but they have been after Love since LAST winter when they made a big offer for him- its not like the cavs only became interested in Love once LeBron signed- but Love has made it clear he would stay in Cleveland long term since LeBron is here- so only now has it become feasible

but if anyone thinks that the Cavs are only after Love because LeBron said so is totally ignoring reality
