2X with the organization and 2X has not had the requisite focus particularly on defense. I think it may be time to move on.

Beasley isn't hungry yet.

Right now, he's still being paid by Phoenix.

When that money dries up, the offers stop coming in and he's faced with playing for the vet minimum or going overseas, maybe then he can focus.

By then, it will likely be too late.

Even though I despise him, this is one of the things I admire so much about Kobe.

Dude is always locked in.

:wtf2: are you serious? BOOZER?!! at sf?

please tell me thats a joke.......

and- i wonder why Ed Davis got absolutely no money- i kinda actually like his game

Carlos Boozer was introduced by the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday.

The Lakers were not optimistic about landing Boozer during the waiver claim process but did so with a $3.25 million bid.

Boozer heard the news from his agent.

"I was ecstatic and I was jumping up and down," Boozer said. "I went back out there and got two more hours in."

Boozer is penciled in as the Lakers' starting small forward, although he has played power forward throughout his 12-year NBA career.

Boozer said he believes he could play up to seven more seasons.

He carried them? You're implying he didn't have help then.

He has a lot of help in Thompson, Lee, Iggy and a somewhat healthy Bogut.

Offensively. But a lot of that had to do with Jackson's ISO post ups too

When it rains it pours :noidea:.

Sam Amico @SamAmicoFSO about 1 hour ago
Multiple sources under impression TWolves star Kevin Love has requested trade to Cavs to/through agent. Story: foxs.pt/1l2fhIS

Sam Amico is not an irresponsible journalist. If he is reporting it - then it has legs. Love requesting a trade to the Cavs gives the Cavs a little more leverage which is nice

I mean- i dont think it by any means suggests they wont have to give up Wiggins- but- Wiggins, Bennett and a 1st rounder i think is MORE than fair for Minnesota- especially considering normally teams dealing disgurntled super-stars that are threatening to leave get a lot less than that

I was really digging Adam Silver the first few months into his stint as Commish.

Now, he seems intent to turn the NBA into a sideshow, Vegas act.

A 3 day draft and a week long Allstar Break?

Money, money, money....quality of Event be damned.

I can barely watch the 1st quarter of the All Star game now.

I can't even imagine what kind of garbage they will come up with to fill a full week.

I think Kerr and Blatt should bring some good new offensive schemes to the league- I will be watching each a lot especially since they both have great personnel to run systems with...

I really cannot wait for this NBA season to start.....

I know can't wait. What's funny is that we almost had Kerr and blatt on the same team

This whole thing is starting to remind me of the Howard to the Lakers trade.

On again, off again, on again.....

Just get it done because it's obvious where he wants to land.

Congrats, either way.

I am well aware of the abuse you took over the last few years.

Hell, I usually participated .

But, you know I'm really happy for you, Sug and LTCF :suds:.

Your opinion is of course, your opinion, but may I ask how you came to this conclusion?

I can tell you with pretty much certainty that you are wrong.

Here in lies the problem:

They are a contending team WITHOUT him.

So, why should teams decimate their rosters to get him?

Originally, I was all " The Warriors/Cavs should do ANYTHING to get him. "

No.

Learn from the Knicks mistake.

They wanted Melo, they got him.

But, he's a man on an Island because Amare has been gimp since his 2nd year on that team.

Whether that's true or not, that is how it should publicly put out there.

He would have to be a moron to say he only wants to play for the Cavs.

By doing so, he would drive the Wolves bargaining power sky high, which would weaken the roster of the team he's hoping to go to.

Yep. Which is why I'm ok with not trading for love. Our roster is good for 54-55 wis right now maybe more. If no wiggins I like our chances of getting love

Sure.

He was garbage in Minny. But, still got a pretty good contract with the Suns, which he lost because he couldn't stop smoking weed.

You couldn't pry his ass off the bench with a crowbar in the Post Season, even when it was clear that Wade was struggling and they could use the points.

Add in the fact that the Heat lost the games best player, who happens to play the same position as Beasley, yet the Heat has shown no inclination to even offer him a vet minimum contract and that tells me ...

The Dude's mind aint right.

Clearly he has talent. It's what's between his ears that seems to be the problem.

The Cavs and the Warriors will be fine either way.

The Team that I'm most surprised about is the Bulls.

They look like the favorites in the East, on paper.

Why would they want to destroy their depth?

There isn't a guy on their roster, that they are willing to trade, with the kind of upside that Wiggins and Klay have.

So, it would take multiple players to get a deal done and that would be team suicide if Rose doesn't hold up.

The Bulls right now are probably making the Finals if Rose stays healthy. They want to make sure the Cavs have to give up significant value to get Love.

Yep.

This is a slippery slope for the Cavs.

Would you bet the farm on Love without an extension?

I expect the Cavs to be very successful.

But, what if they aren't?

Would you trust him not to bolt?

I just read this on the Plain Dealers site...

I'm hearing the Cavs realize they may have to accept Love's current deal and gamble on him enjoying playing in Cleveland and with James. Then they will try to sign him for a maximum deal in 2015. So don't be shocked if a deal is made with his contract situation staying the same.

If Love picks up his option for 2015-16 this summer, the most that a team can immediately add is a two-year extension. I know, this gets complicated. The point is there are a variety of reasons for Love to keep his current deal, and then hit the open market in 2015. I'm hearing Love will not pick up his option -- that he would prefer to go to the Cavs on his current deal, then presumably enjoy being successful playing with LeBron James. Remember, he also has done a commercial with Kyrie Irving. He sees marketing possibilities in Cleveland -- along with a chance to win big.
