LeBron is right to refuse to take any more pay cuts. The LeBrons and Dirks and Duncans shouldn't have to do this to help their teams win

Durant will end up in Washington in less than 2 years.

The WIZARDS are finally showing that they have savvy management and want to be fixtures.

The players love DC as a cosmopolitan hip destination that finally is showing signs of living up to its potential as a giant city with sports aspirations.

Durant is from there...he wants to go back..His mom still lives in his childhood town... Washington is setting themselves up nicely for the pitch.

It would be devastating if Mr Unreliable left OKC.

Basically what you are telling me is that this is Scott Brooks' last year unless they win a championship

1. Indy
2. Cle
3. Wsh
4. Tor
5. Mia
6. Chi
7. BK
8. Cha

Hello.

We did that all the time on FN.

I'm waiting for all of the trades to go off before real predictions happen. There are about a dozen teams that look like they have a real move left in them

Sources: Klay Thompson off table
Updated: July 15, 2014, 4:16 PM ET
By Marc Stein | ESPN.com

The Timberwolves and Warriors have continued to discuss a Kevin Love trade, but the teams remain unable to agree on the framework of a deal with Golden State still unwilling to include Klay Thompson, according to sources close to the process.

[+] EnlargeKevin Love, Klay Thompson
Kelley L Cox/USA TODAY SportsThe Warriors continue to eye Kevin Love, but not for a price that includes Klay Thompson, sources said.

Sources told ESPN.com that Wolves owner Glen Taylor and Warriors counterpart Joe Lacob have maintained a level of dialogue on a potential trade of Love to Golden State, which sources insist would have been clinched by now if Golden State -- at the behest of new coach Steve Kerr -- relented on their refusal to part with Thompson.

Sources say Golden State has been unwilling to offer Minnesota more than a combination of former All-Star forward David Lee and 2012 lottery pick Harrison Barnes -- likely packaged with a future first-round pick -- in exchange for Love and Wolves swingman Kevin Martin.

Golden State, however, knows it now has serious competition for Love, with the Cleveland Cavaliers known to be seriously interested in trading for the All-Star power forward.

The Cavaliers have declared that Andrew Wiggins, last month's No. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft, is off limits in any trade talks, but sources say Wolves president Flip Saunders is adamant that he won't surrender Love now unless he gets back Thompson or Wiggins.

The Associated Press reported Tuesday that Saunders and Warriors general Bob Myers were spotted in discussions Sunday at the NBA's annual summer league in Las Vegas.

The Wolves could elect to be patient and wait to see if offers improve for Love as the pool of available free agents continues to dwindle, but an increasing number of rival executives expect Minnesota to trade him before next season starts, given how well known it is around the league that he intends to become a free agent in July 2015.

The Wolves risk losing Love without compensation if they don't deal him before the league's annual trade deadline in February.

Agreed - The Wiz also picking up Pierce is huge as he thrives on clutch plays - As long as Nene & Gortat stay healthy and Wall & Beal continue to learn how to play efficiently together they will be a team to watch out for in the weak east. :agree:

If Flip fails to get something back at all, he is an idiot. Not looking good, lets see who gives in first.

Ariza was better than Pierce last year but you have to think that Pierce is the type of addition that makes Washington a team that no one in the East will want to play in the first round. They look like a team built for the playoffs.

I like his game.

But, agree that he impressed me by taking a substantial cut.

Clearly, guys like Duncan, Dirk and Garnett put winning over everything.

Sad that KG has deteriorated to the point that he's not even worth his discounted contract.

But, he was at the time he signed it.

They also have Otto Porter waiting in the wings.

Maybe he can take a step forward this Season.

Kevin Love is a much better player than Klay Thompson. Warriors shouldve made the trade last month
