Marion to SA would be practically unfair....but that would be a shrewd pickup. Gives them insane depth.

So whats the deal with Monroe?

I'm surprised teams aren't trying to sign him.... whether he's worthy of a sizeable contract or not.

But I guess Detroit would match any offer right? its cat n mouse I see...

APkrawczynski: It's not clear if GSW has changed its position on Klay. But the sides are at least talking about things again after hitting a wall.

Almost too much depth, if there were such a thing.

Duncan, Splitter, Diaw, Pendegraph, Baynes can play Center.

Diaw, Duncan, PF

Leonard, Kyle Anderson, Austin Daye, Danny Greens SF.

Where would he get minutes?

It would be a very nice problem to have.

Subject to change:

1-Chi
2-Wash
3-Cle
4-Tor
5-Indy
6-Mia
7-BK
8-ATL/Cha

We should do a poll before the season begins to see how far or on point we as posters are...

CRAZY as it sounds, I'm thinking it falls like this:

1. Indy
2. Cle
3. Wsh
4. Tor
5. Mia
6. Chi
7. BK
8. Cha

That's why nobody has bothered.

Unless some team puts together a frontloaded contract at max dollars, Detroit will match.

Same with Bledsoe.

The worst part for the players is the fact that no team has the cap space to offer them the max outside of their own Franchise.

Rock meets hard place :noidea:.

Daye doesn't get minutes... n IMO Kyle may end up as a PF or developed into one like Diaw... I think Marion comes off the bench easily...

2. Bulls

3. Cavs

4. Wiz

5. Heat

6.Hornets

7. Knicks

8. Pistons * if they keep Monroe *

That's not even close to the deal he signed, which surprises the hell out of me.

You would think he wanted the security of a longterm deal with those rickity knees :noidea:.

@EthanJSkolnick

Can confirm report -- 1st by AP -- that Wade's deal is 1 year plus option. Heat wanted flexibility in 2016. Got it. And he sacrificed again.
I said rumored....at the time that is what the local reports were saying in Miami. Wow...That contract costs Wade $6M. Thanks Lebron#LaFamilia.

You're probably right.

Pop prefers playing vets over the Young Thunder Cats.

Even if he didn't get major minutes, It would be a great signing just to keep him out of the hands on the competition.

True.

But, if we look at it from a different perspective, it could pay off for him.

If by some miracle, he is able to stay healthy, put up big numbers, while keeping the Heat competitive, he would land a big contract when the current CBA expires.

There is major talk on abolishing the max contract language which would allow guys to get one of those " Michael Jordan farewell tour " 30 mil per year deals.

That is said to be Lebron's angle as well.

The SPURS are insanely deep everywhere except small forward.
In reality, they need a SF for insurance. A PF (like Pau Gasol) was a luxury choice.

Danny Green, Diaw, and Ginobili did adequate work in quasi-SF roles at times.
But they only have one true small forward on the roster.

If not Marion, then somebody else.
Kyle Anderson might be able to play a little bit there, but he is like the others.

Whomever they sign will get minutes.
The Spurs did not have a single player average 30 minutes a game. They give everyone playing time.

Playing time will not be a tough sell with Popovich's system.

I don't think gasol vaults the bulls up to 2nd or 1st like so many have put on here.

if derrick rose makes it to all star break ill rethink that...till then I expect hes going to struggle with injuries and that buts pulls more in 5 or 6

Agreed.

Gasol's presence alone won't get them their.

I am clearly assuming, or should I say hoping?, that Rose will be healthy.

So, the addition of A two-legged Rose, Mirotic if you believe the hype, Pau and McBuckets makes them a top 2 team, on paper, imo.....

No Derrick Rose and the whole thing goes to hell in a handbasket.
