Great move for the Wizards. Wonder what they are giving up. They will be huge....
Rio is a champion. Rough playoffs but he has delivered and had a strong regular season shooting close to 45%. NCAA champion that hit the big shot against D-Rose and two time NBA champion. But yeah keep talking about an organization embarrassing themselves...comical coming from a fan of a franchise still owned by the Sterlings......
Actually, no, he is a very good defender. He played Duncan, Garnet and Howard very well defensively in both of the Lakers title runs. Lakers fans like to take away from Gasol because it makes Kobe look better, I don't know what a Heat fans motivation is, however, for diminishing Gasol's contributions.
The Heat continue to embarrass themselves.
It's sad that Lakers fans never appreciated Gasol. It was Gasol's defense that was key to the Lakers winning their two rings when he was there.
What's comical is the NBA owned New Orleans Hornets vetoed a trade that would have sent Chris Paul to one of their most storied and beloved franchises to instead send him to a team owned by the Sterling's.
The Clippers would look vastly different if that trade went down. In fact, the Lakers may look alot different as well. Funny how it was owners like Gilbert that pressured Stern to nix that trade. It essentially sunk the NBA cash cow that is the Lakers.
The Sterling's would not be getting 2B for their franchise that is for sure.
Agreed. Guarantee the league takes a huge ratings hit next year with the Knicks and Lakers hurting and no more Big 3 in Miami. The Cavs won't drive as much national ratings. Thank goodness Chicago saved their tale building a very good team and that the Clippers are expected to contain. The Clippers would look vastly different if that trade went down. As soon as David Stern allowed the NBA to take over day today operations of the franchise, he was stuck. He had to veto that trade, not because the Lakers were involved, but because it would have killed the Hornets' value. The return package the Hornets would have received was awful, and the deal with the Clippers allowed them to get Anthony Davis. Davis would be in another uniform if the trade with the Lakers had been allowed.
