Gasol is average at best on defense.

-Signed a loyal Lakers fan who appreciated his efforts in our title runs.

It's sad that Lakers fans never appreciated Gasol. It was Gasol's defense that was key to the Lakers winning their two rings when he was there.

very true. As a Bulls fan I am very happy with how our team looks. We added one of the best Center/PF in the game, Drafted player of the year in college who can shoot, and Finally signed the best Int player to come to the Bulls. Then throw in Snell going into his 2nd year. We should see him getting better.

We still need a SF or SG. I like Butler at SF.

Butler seems like a better fit at SF than SG.

I disagree about Snell(we will see much improved player this year) and MDJ(38% from 3). Year before he shot 40%.

McDermott has 30pts right now.

McDermott reminds me of a slightly better version of Kyle Korver.

Yeah, he is better suited for the 3.

But, looking at that roster, I think he will start at SG.

They have way to many SF's.

Snell, Butler, Brewer, McBuckets, Dunleavy.

Butler and Brewer can play SG.

But, I don't think Dunleavey can.

On the contrary, I've actually seen Lakers fans stumble over themselves to have him back in Lakerland. Gasol's really good in the post and he's a skilled big man. His defense, as has been mentioned before, is average though. He's not the greatest defender in the world. But in Thibs system who knows?

I have never understood why this guy never gets playing time.

He is lethal as a shooter.
Maybe the rest of his game has serious shortcomings.

His defense is fine especially now that he will be covering PF's. Thibs has a great scheme. Im not worried. He is way better defender then Boozer. Gasol won't be on the bench in the 4th like Boozer was.

Actually, no, he is a very good defender. He played Duncan, Garnet and Howard very well defensively in both of the Lakers title runs. Lakers fans like to take away from Gasol because it makes Kobe look better, I don't know what a Heat fans motivation is, however, for diminishing Gasol's contributions.

The Heat continue to embarrass themselves.
Rio is a champion. Rough playoffs but he has delivered and had a strong regular season shooting close to 45%. NCAA champion that hit the big shot against D-Rose and two time NBA champion. But yeah keep talking about an organization embarrassing themselves...comical coming from a fan of a franchise still owned by the Sterlings......
