There's no difference between 3 & 4 actually. Same shit to me. Either way you're just going to have HCA for 1 series. I think if you get a 2 seed you're actually in great position to win the finals/contend for a title because it means you may possibly have HCA for every series except one

Has the 4 seed ever won the title? I know the 6th seed has

And that's when the East was actually good. Had to go through Cleveland in the 2nd round and Orlando in the Conference finals

No way that Lance signs a 5 yr/ 44M deal with Pacers.
If that's the Pacers best offer, they can KISS him goodbye, and realize they have BLOWN it.:laugh3:

Lance would be a good addition for the Heat, in terms of talent, not sure about personality.. But we couldnt afford him. We really need to go after a BIG and then PG and then give Wade some help.. I really think we should resign Beasley, not sure if we will tho after LBJs comments about him.

This is what Lowry's potential contract is starting at.

WEDNESDAY, 7:59am: Lowry wants nothing less than a deal worth $40MM over four years, sources tell Sportsnet’s Michael Grange, who hears the Raptors would be comfortable at four years, $44MM. That’s less than the $12MM a year that Marc Stein of ESPN.com reported earlier that the Raptors would offer, but the key may be whether Toronto extends its offer to a fifth year, as Grange suggests and as Stein reported that the team is considering

These are the numbers Isiah Thomas is reportedly looking at.

7:48am: The Pistons are also interested, tweets Aaron Bruski of NBCSports.com. They’re talking about a deal in the ballpark of three years and $24MM total. Other talks are in the $6-7MM range, Bruski adds (Twitter link).

This seems strange that for only a few dollars more, you could have Thomas instead of Livingston.

I am not sure why you believe that way.

At least one NBA GM believes Stephenson would be worth $10-12MM on talent alone, but his on-court antics and alleged selfish behavior knocked his value down to $8-10MM in the GM’s eyes, as Michael Scotto of SheridanHoops reported last month. Another GM pegged him all the way down in the $4-6MM range annually, so it seems like the average annual value of $8.8MM that the Pacers apparently have on the table wouldn’t be much of a sacrifice.

It's seems his antics & lack of maturity are suppressing his supposed value. He is a good player but not a great player. He does a lot of things well, but is not great at any one thing. Paying him any more than what the numbers are suggesting he is being offered would be an overpay.

Celtics resign Avery Bradley.

8:47am: The deal is worth $32MM over four years, tweets Baxter Holmes of The Boston Globe.

Seems like a too much money to me, considering they drafted Smart to be the heir apparent at PG.

He is easily the 2 nd best player on the Pacers right now, still young and on the improve.
These numbers would have him earning around 9M, 5 years down the road. That is waaaay under what market value will be then for someone with his talent.

My gut says somebody throws a huge contract offer at him.
Reports are like assholes these days during FA.
Everybody has one.

3rd best player on their team. West is better than him. He is a turnover machine & does a lot of stupid things that make having him on your team give you a headache. Like I said already said, he is a good player, but not a great player. Guys earning 8 figures should be great players.

If I was Indiana, I would let LA or Charlotte overpay for him & sign a better shooting SG to replace him.

I agree with Davis_Mike. Sure Stephenson is talented and has potential, but he also has a huge attitude problem. Also, from public perception, he epitomized the true definition of locker room cancer.

Yeah we need Gasol

At $10+ mil per season? That's what Gasol wants.

I think the best option for Miami, assuming they resign the big 3, is to sign players like a Nelson and a Kaman. Quality players at a decent price. Blowing whatever's left of the cap on one player will just leave Miami thin again.

Yeah I read he wants 10-12 so hopefully pat would be able to lower that to 7

Riley could possibly get Gasol to take less because of the no state tax thing. We might be able to get him for around the 9mil mark.

Imo, lots of people around the league must think he is a stat padder and not a guy that can help you win games.

I doubt he's getting 10M from anyone.
It won't be from the Heat, if he does
