That's too bad. I really thought he'd be a good candidate for Miami. a 6'6" shooting guard that knocks down the 3 at a 40% clip. Doesn't make sense for Miami at that high of a salary, though.

Miami is going to have problems finding quality players if good players that are only getting $4+ mil a season don't make sense to them. They are going to be left holding the bag if Gasol & a few others spurn the team for better offers. That will force them to fill the roster with leftovers.

Yeah, I kind of agree. I liked CJ Miles enough, that I would've been fine with him going to Miami at that price.

The problem is, that might be about all the room they have, and there's pressure for them to do something sexier than just adding CJ Miles... or they risk losing LeBron.

I think that the really tough position that Riley is in is being undersold. Its not looking pretty. He's going to have to come up with some serious hand-waving magic to impress anyone.

With those 3 guys on the roster, it is unlikely that Miami is capable of signing anyone "sexy". They are better off with a complete roster of good support guys. They could probably bring 3-5 quality guys in the $2-4 mil range & be better off than signing 1 guy & a bunch of league minimum players.

:agree:I said the same thing earlier. I don't think they should waste all the remaining cap space on one guy and then a bunch of minimums. They'll have little depth again. Fill out the roster with quality players in the price range you mentioned.

I completely agree. Problem is, they may not have the space to sign a few $2-$4 million guys. The early reports of the Heat having 10-12 mill in cap space are looking incorrect.

Right now it looks like $6 million might be the best they can do. (Maybe up to 8 if they manage to unload Cole) If that's the case, there's no need for Wade and Bosh to even take paycuts, because if the Heat stay over the cap they can use the $6 mill MLE.

Beyond whatever cap space they do get, the only other thing they have is 1 Room exception which can get them a 3$ million guy.

where are you seeing the numbers thats its only going to be 6mil? Everything I see shows 12-13mil cap room. I know what their agent said, but I havent seen any player come out and deny it. Agents have their own agenda.

It doesn't look like Bosh is wants to take as much of a discount as people think he should

You're right, every source has an agenda, so no one really knows.

If they end up with $10+ million in cap space, I'll be surprised as would most people, I think.

If Bosh is actually seeking 16-18mil then let him walk. or resign him and trade him for Kevin love. He isnt worth that much.

No one is going to trade anyone of value in a sign & trade for Bosh seeing as he is a FA & could be had for free.

I think if I was Bosh, Id leave Miami. Lebron has legacy reasons for staying but he doesn't. Bosh's status has actually downgraded since he was in Toronto and he'll be able to get more money elsewhere.

Max for Lebron. $16-18mil for Bosh. Wade isn't signing for pennies on the dollar. Gonna be hard to rebuild anything deep around the big 3 if all they all resign.

And I doubt Bosh signs with Miami to allow them to trade him to Minnesota of all places.

Bosh should go to Houston. He would be a perfect compliment to Howard, Harden & Parsons. He has the mid-range game to make that team great.

The Heat can't wing another ring unless they break up the big 3 or bosh and wade take drastic pay cuts. Wade and Bosh's services are worth about 7 million and 9 million, respectively. The Heat are truly just the big 1 now, the sooner Wade and Bosh realize this, the better off the Heat will be.

So Gortat is worth more than Bosh? So Jodie Meeks is worth as much as Wade?:laugh3:

Gordon Hayward is really going to get 15 mill per year? Lance Stephenson should turn down the Pacers off if Hayward can get that

Bosh will go and play for Dallas long before he settles for less than 15 million.

It is asinine for anyone to force these dudes to give up 20-30 million dollars.

They earned the right to demand fair value.
