I looked up the official seismograph data for Blacksburg. The picture is indeed legit. As proof that these events are likely from Lane Stadium, I also looked up the Clemson and Arky State games. Sure enough there was an event on both dates right around the time of Enter Sandman.

Not a follower but just saw the highlight of the very bad Indy car wreck at Las Vegas. Dan Wheldon's condition is unknown and has been airlifted to the hospital. They said the whole top roll area of his car was sheered off. Keep praying he is ok after this.

I'm a motorsports fan and follow Indycar a little bit. That was one of the worst accidents I've ever seen. You could tell from everyone's reaction the news wasn't good. It's a truly sad day for the sport. Wheldon was a genuine guy and a pretty darn good driver.

As you can see on the other boards, I am a huge Indy Car Series fan and that was a horrific wreck. I am kind of crushed by this and the driver's reactions. I tuned in to watch my favorite driver battle for a championship (Dario) and I have never seen a wreck even close to that (maybe the Brack wreck).

I think that Dario is done racing. Two of his best friends have died on the track now.

This was the last race in those cars, in a dark twist of irony. The new 2012 cars have a new back end that is intended to keep them from getting airborne.

Fuck...this is sad. Dan was a champion, a father of two young sons, a husband and an all around terrific person. This is just so sad.

Will Power Onboard

For those interested, that's Will Power's onboard camera of the wreck. He got airborne just as Wheldon did. Beware though, its pretty gruesome.

What's really eerie is as the race was happening live, the broadcast was showing Dan Wheldon's onboard camera. They stop showing it just as the wreck happens. It's sort of creepy knowing you just got a POV perspective of someone staring down his own death.
