I don't get why anyone would ever choose nc state over other major schools. They literally have the least to offer in all facets of reasons to choose a college in the ACC, and barely ahead of one team in the SEC. (Mississippi state)

That's pretty harsh, Matt. NC State is actually very similar to VT academically, so if a kid likes VT from that perspective (a liberal arts education isn't for everyone... thank goodness) but wants more going on than Blacksburg, they may be the best fit in the ACC. The football isn't as good today, but there's a new young staff and they're not starting from scratch. I can certainly see how they could get a few kids.

BTW, I believe I read that Loeffler will definitely be in the booth during games, but will he have company? Nothing irritated me more than seeing Stiney and O'Cain sitting in the booth sipping on Diet Cokes while the offense was a cluster f*ck.

Hite was a good guy when he actually coached running backs, but once he changed over to "senior advisor" I'm pretty sure his salary could be going towards something more useful.

NC State is a very good school and similar in am y ways to other land grant schools such as Virginia Tech, Michigan State and Auburn. I have worked on a few grants and research projects with the folks in Raleigh and they are very highly looked upon by other schools.

I am not sure who else would be up there. Both Grimes and Moorehead seem like in your face guys. Maybe Stinespring?
