True. I had a friend of mine at a highschool party one night get a 30alt6 pointed at his head because he had an Auburn hat on. Guy told him he wasn't wearing that hat anywhere near his property, and that he would gladly blow it clean off the top of his head. We funked that dude up later that night too.

I do like the kids conviction. And the fact that Ohio St fans were cussing the kid out while he was at the school, you really think that's a positive recruiting tool?

Thats because Bama fans are slightly below the learning curve. I wish we had a rivalry lie tOSU and Michigan. I think it is the best rivalry in sports personally. VT and UVA just dont have the history those 2 schools have. HBO has a special about the tOSU-Mich rivalry they run most years (its probably 4 or 5 years old now) and it is very good.

the VT-UVA rivalry isnt that huge because one school hasnt played spoiler to the other like Bo did to Woody, the coaches haven't clashed, the teams havent been top teams together.

Apparently Under Armor is going to be footing the bill on the new turf, and it is going to have some sort of cooling technology in the turf.

Well... I guess it will be cooler (temperature-wise) than most stadiums without all that body heat generated from a big and boisterous crowd. But, I thought their football program transferred.

Just for clarity, while the above picture is hideous, it is not what I've heard is under consideration. I've heard that the preferred plan is a interlocking carpet system with the ability for Maryland to place and replace logos and other features on the field. Basically, the mid field, quarter field, sidelines, numbers and endzones would have several alternates that are over sized, interchangable and ugly. I've heard specifically that the mid field is "B12 basketball mid-court" style huge. The primary field color would be green to start, but even that could be changed for a special event.

That's not to say anything, including that picture, is off the table. Knowing Maryland, it's probably as ugly a field we will ever see. I should also note, that what I've heard isn't from some priority source with inside information. He's just a regular Baltimore based fan with some interesting rumors. I figured I'd share what I've heard.

I would. Actually i thought about that after reading about all the changes coming to SportsHoopla. We will see how it goes i guess but i really like the current format of these boards so i hope we dont venture far from this.

We could find a place, or hell, probably set up our own place if necessary. However, in talks wit h Ghost, I don't think we will want to. The new setup may be really really cool.
