I am pissed we let Carlos Hyde go to the Browns. 5M/yr is cheap for a young, proven workhorse. Instead we signed 2 blah linebackers for the same amount each.

Deshawn Shead - DB - Lions
Lions signed CB Deshawn Shead, formerly of the Seahawks, to a one-year, $3.5 million contract.

Recovering from ACL surgery, Shead can earn another $3 million through playing-time incentives. Shead was decent for the Seahawks in 2016. With Quandre Diggs seemingly converting to safety, Shead would have a leg up on No. 3 cornerback duties in Detroit.

Decent signing. We are probably done moving around in the secondary. No complaints with that group although I would have prefered an upgrade on Lawson.

Ebron cut and Don Carey to the Jags. Somewhere in Lionsland a monkey is celebrating.

The Saints are reportedly working to schedule a visit with free agent DT Ndamukong Suh.

To date, New Orleans, Seattle, Dallas, and New England have all been linked to Suh, who is the top free agent left on the market. Although his sack totals dipped on bad teams in Miami, Suh remained one of the NFL's most disruptive interior presences versus both the run and pass. He turned 31 in January. The Lions suck.

Does anyone have a link for the Gore signing? I can't find it anywhere. It seems strange to still bring in Blount if they signed Gore

Poe to the Panthers. At some point the Lions will have to add talent to the area they are worst at right?

Lions signed OG Kenny Wiggins.

A 16-game starter for the Chargers last season, Wiggins was amongst the worst guards in the league. He will provide depth behind Graham Glasgow and T.J. Lang, who both missed time with injury in 2017

Gore is 35 and has 3200 carries in his career. Blount is 31 and has [only] 1400 carries in his career. While the rest of the league is squaring away their RB position, BQ is busy giving old people tours of Allen Park.

Honestly, Blount would be ok. He would get us TD’s/first downs in short yardage.

No doubt Blount would be better but I dont think I want either if ZZ is actually OK. Not like anyone else will sign him after we let him go the other day. I would just prefer to draft and maybe bring back ZZ.

Blount would have to be cheap and Gore under no circumstances.

See post 76. 1 hour later ZZ re-signed right on cue. Hopefully we find a better solution though. The 2 old guys are not it though.
