The Tampa Bay Buccaneers reached agreement with former New Orleans Saints guard Carl Nicks on a five-year, $47.5 million deal, including $r31 million guaranteed that makes him the highest paid guard in the league, according to league sources.

$31 million guaranteed? Wow. He's young and a very good player, but that's a huge chunk of guaranteed change.

Multiple sites reporting we are also interested in Laurent Robinson. Also, Ginn is talking with Detroit.

how many athletes waste all their money and end up broke? poor guys need every penny they can get

If they are going to waste it, the owners should collusively not pay them! (Yes, I know this is not realistic or practical)

He got 132 million $60 million guaranteed would you sign? lol

LOL.

Anyway, with Larry Fitz' contract, Vincent Jackson, and now Calvin...next year as a receiver it'll be nice to get tagged (getting the average of top 5 most paid players at your respective position). What's Andre's Contract?

2010 he signed a 6 year deal worth around $60 million and $15 million in guarantees

Damn! I know he and his agent would like to press that reset button and start over (in order to get a better deal, not Calvin but at least a deal better than Jackson, comparable to Fitz's).

Bears have made out like bandits.

I'd take Marshall over Jackson ANYDAY. Especially considering what each cost.

Marshall is going to miss 4 games this year. Jackson will play 16 games, in comparison to Marshall's maximum of 12 games; which could be less.

You get what you pay for.
