Hey, we won......and we made the plays at the end to win it.......every time Dixon pisses me off with another stupid shot, he goes and makes a steal and a dunk and I get over it.......he was something like 5-16 from the floor, and that was 2-13 on non dunks....at least 8 of those misses should never have been jacked up......

Hard to say FSU looked "better" when they spent the entire night throwing the ball to the other team. Did they present match-up issues? Yes. It was clear that we couldn't get anything going in the middle. But for a team with such veteran leadership, you'd think they would take better care of the ball.

That's the point. Turnovers did them in. That was the difference. Had Florida State taken care of the ball better, it probably wouldn't have been very close. UC couldn't get anything going offensively most of the night - aside from mostly fast break points and points off turnovers in general. And defensively - again aside from the forced turnovers - Florida State was able to get into their sets relatively well, penetrate and move the ball well. UC looked overmatched.

Florida State was the better team that happened to play very undisciplined last night.

UC's pressure defense had much to do with FSU's turnovers....I think FSU is the more talented, team, but the word overmatched never comes to mind......and Gates held up really well defensively vs FSU's bigs.....

Gates is fine defensively unless you get him on the perimeter. Then he's prone to ticky tack fouls on guards.

Yes he should stick to defending down low.....he's good for one dumb foul a game chasing out front.....

I can't wait to see Gates and Sullinger go at it. I'm more of an OSU than Cincy fan, but whichever team wins I wish the best of luck. That being said, I'll still take OSU.

Sullinger is passive at times. Our only hope is that he "lets the game come to him," rather than taking it right at Gates.

I think it will come down to whether or not Cincy can hit their 3s. If they are making them, they'll stay in it and it will be a great game. If we are cold, I think we lose by 10 or more. OSU has a great D and sometimes the only way you can beat them is if you can shoot over them.

Sullinger will get his 15 and 10 regardless. I'm worried about Craft.

The key to OSU is their guard play. You know just about each night what you are going to get from Sullinger. If UC contains Craft and Bufford...and hits a few shots, they will win.

Some great matchups. OSU vs Cincy is long overdue. I think Cincy has a chance. I'm actually predicting OSU 62 - UC 65

Indiana is dead. That is all.

I wouldn't mind if someone punched Craft in the face. Just saying.

Sullinger has a lot more range than Gates, he's much more athletic. Solely talking about inside game, I think Sully might get pushed around. In the end, he'll get the best of Gates, imo.

Craft is the best on the ball defender in the NCAA, his defense is insane. He played a hell of a game last week. Should be a good game, nonetheless. I'd much rather have OSU playing UC than Florida St. though, much better matchup.

So me and Kramer both have Ohio State and UC playing, but I have UC winning and Kramer picked Ohio State! Interested in knowing any 1 else's input? :pop2:

I have UC. I think UC's guards are a bit more consistent. I worry less about Sullinger and more about making sure Bufford and Craft don't go off for 20+ points.

OSU has a good defense, too, but I think UC's is a tad better all around 1-5. I feel that way about UC's scoring ability as well. They may not be as talented, but man they seem to just find ways to stay in it until the end and pull it out unlike so many other UC teams before them.
