I heard a rumor that @58crash turned down the Jussie Smollet job (it was blueberry planting season).

I'm not sure how I feel about all this love for Lock. I can't remember any team recently that has been this keyed in on a particular player. Especially, a team that is not picking 1st. If we really are this in love with the kid, we have done a terrible job of hiding the fact. If we are trying to throw smoke screens, then I think we have done a terrible job at that because it is almost unbelievable that Elway likes the kid this much.

Either way, I feel like we had a great opportunity to grab a better QB in last year's draft. Most of the reports that I have seen have all 4 of last year's top guys ahead of anybody in this class. And next year, the QBs are supposed to be much better than this year's crop as well. Seems odd that we would have traded back last year with 2 guys on the board. I get that Chubb looks to be pretty special and all, but if you have a chance at a franchise-type QB and you don't have one, you have to pull the trigger on one. Unless, Elway just likes Lock that much better than Rosen or Allen and Hebert and Fromm and Tua and those guys.

Yea, I'm unsure about him as well. When all this talk started I went and looked at a couple of games from last season. He's got arm talent, that's for sure, but his accuracy is suspect...and when it comes to evaluating QBs, I'm firmly in the Bill Polian camp where accuracy is the #1 indicator of success. Obviously accuracy cant be viewed in a vacuum...good mechanics contribute, as does the ability to read defenses and make quick decisions. But when it comes to a 21 year old, those things are already either formed or misformed in a QB. Can you make some small tweaks to mechanics? Sure but wholesale change or REFORMATION probably isn't going to happen. So, if he has accuracy issues, I'm going to pass, no matter how strong his arm. He seems like a intelligent, articulate young man with a good head on his shoulders but Im just not sold on him as an NFL QB.

Broncos HC Vic Fangio made a surprise visit to Aurora Fire Station 13 this morning to thank first responders for their service and support.

I like his style

I'm for Rypien as well - perfect QB for the west coast hybrid offense Scangarello is supposed to run.

If he wants $9.5 MM pass.

I think it would be worth it to get a top 5 Safety in the league. While yes the price is high he can make a huge difference on this team to justify it.

Now, Klis states that Denver will be meeting with his agent at the Combine next week, so that’s better than not talking at all. We’ll see if the two sides can come to any type of middle ground, but neither Allbright or Klis sound optimistic that a deal will get done and feel that Denver is going to allow Paradis to test the free agent market.

This has almost become standard operating procedure with Denver. As host Ryan Edwards pointed out on air, they haven’t re-signed a draft pick to a second contract since Derek Wolfe. Allbright mentioned that like most of their contract negotiations, Denver likely has a number in their head for what they would be willing to spend, and if negotiations go over that number, they are content to let Paradis walk.

It doesn't sound too good what if we just tag him? there are 2 tags

The number for running backs was set at $11.866 million, but that doesn’t apply to Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell after he was tagged last season. Bell will stand to make $14.5 million if the Steelers use the tag as expected.

The rest of the positions are as follows:

Quarterback – $23.189 million

Tight end – $9.846 million

Offensive line – $14.077 million

Defensive tackle – $13.939 million

Linebacker – $14.961 million

Cornerback $14.975 million

Safety $11.287 million

Kicker/Punter – $4.939 million

Should any team want to use the transition tag, which allows teams the right to match another contract offer without receiving compensation if they opt against it, those figures are:

Quarterback – $20.922 million

Running back – $9.63 million

Wide receiver – $13.924 million

Tight end – $8.428 million

Offensive line – $12.525 million

Defensive end – $14.2 million

Defensive tackle – $11.407 million

Linebacker – $12.81 million

Cornerback – $12.971 million

Safety – $9.536 million

$12.5 would keep my guess. damn

if it was Center we would be in business .that is high. Why the hell is it just OL ! that is BS!

Elway never keeps our Draft picks this sucks!

Kicker/Punter – $4.493 million
