I think at least one of them are off the board, maybe both.

I think this is why Seattle just had to pull the trigger on Zabel. I think both these guys are gone at 50, and trading up? After what the Falcons and Jags did, that may not be an option.

I think we're looking at Revel, Arroyo, and maybe Taylor in the 2nd... or just trade back. If Higgins falls to us at 50 they should be an auto draft...

Greene? Are you talking about Mike Green (DE/Marshall)? I don't think Schneider will ever draft him given character concerns (maybe Reed/DLaw/Williams could whip him into shape), or are you talking a different person?

I love the rest of your wishlist. If we go with Jonah... we're BALLS deep in zone blocking... lol.

Yah I don't know much about it. All I know is there is a lot of issues from just reading this online and listening to a number of analysts. Not like I'm an NFL scout or know the guy personally.

That said, John doesn't really seem too keen on guys with character issues. Maybe Malik McDowell was a Pete thing and it scared John off for good. I wouldn't mind taking a character issue guy on DEFENSE because you have Reed/DLaw/Love, but it's what it is. Certainly can't take a character issue on O at the moment. Kupp is about all we have for a locker leader.

He didn't seem to start out that way, but he DEFINITELY became it last year.

He was moping on the bench/sidelines, waving off not getting the ball thrown his way, just making DUMB penalties. I didn't want any part of that signing. And then he goes to a team with NO QUARTERBACK.

It's the last straw on why I gave up on Brendon Nelson who defended that dork routinely. I wanted Metcalf gone in 2023 when we could've gotten a first + extra.

I seem to recall most of us (us on the Hawks SportsHoopla) being fine with trading DK. I don't think there was anyone vehemently against it, if I recall.

Oh jeez there it is... and I think I just contradicted myself... pretty sure I caught myself in Captain Hindsight mode... because it seems like I was really for keeping DK (I guess unless we got two first, in which case I would've been for), at least as of 2024 (before the last season).

Yah I edited flyer (after reading a bit more - I really need to stop posting too early, I post like pepperoni pizza will no longer be available).

I think a lot of us in 2023 or after that season wanted a first+.. and then after this season we were just happy to have a 2nd. Either way, a 1st+ would've been the correct move, IF teams were even offering that. It's possible a team offered a 2nd and 3rd to Seattle in 2024... where it didn't make sense. And then DK emo'd up and was basically a lost cause.

Higgins and Royal are about it for WR (that's within a sensible range). Milum and Ratledge (I'd love Rat) are about it at guard, but I wouldn't put these guys at immediate starters.

If you want to build a "MEAN" offensive line though, Zabel + Rat are a starting point...

That said, I don't think either will be there. NFL teams made it pretty obvious yesterday that there is a surge and want an OL. I think Seattle will have nothing available (within reason) at the position by the 50th.. a huge reason why Zabel was the right answer.
