Here's some information pertaining to what will transpire over the next week.

MARCH
March 10 Prior to 4:00 p.m., New York time, deadline for clubs to designate Franchise or Transition Players.
March 16-18 Clubs are permitted to contact, and enter into contract negotiations with, the certified agents of players who will become Unrestricted Free Agents upon the expiration of their 2019 player contracts at 4:00 p.m., New York time, on March 18.
March 18 Prior to 4:00 p.m., New York time, clubs must exercise options for 2020 on all players who have option clauses in their 2019 contracts.
Prior to 4:00 p.m., New York time, clubs must submit qualifying offers to their Restricted Free Agents with expiring contracts to retain a Right of First Refusal/Compensation.
Prior to 4:00 p.m., New York time, clubs must submit a minimum salary tender to retain exclusive negotiating rights to their players with expiring 2019 contracts who have fewer than three accrued seasons of free agency credit.

Here's a thread to consolidate the rumors, ongoing negotiations and eventually the inking of contracts. I like this a lot better than clogging up the board with a new thread over every single player that we should meet/negotiate with.

At this point, I've really just had it with trying to make heads/tails out of the rumor mill. We're a week away from all of the speculation beginning to end.

February through mid-March is such a tedious time of the NFL calendar year.

Doubt Teddy would be signing to be #2. So perhaps a follow up trade is coming....or does Mitch accept being a backup?

Ed Werder saying it's Foles or Dalton for us. I'm assuming it would be via trade as both are still under contract.

I was much happier about Bridgewater than trading for either of those two.

The Mitch pick has just destroyed us. Sigh.

I would prefer whoever is cheaper. If they're both expensive ride with Trubisky and draft a kid.

Been meaning to comment on this. I know it's not really game-changing news to lose him, but for those couple of seasons he was with the Bears, I thought Williams filled in admirably wherever he was asked to play. Don't think he's worth a two year/$10 mil contract (altho some or even a lot of that might not be guaranteed). But he sure was a gamer when he wore our colors.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's awfully rich though. I can't blame Pace for not matching that kind of offer. Looks like we've only got Joel Iguenbfakjbfnkersdnbgfknbg on the roster as a backup linebacker, and that's no gouda. Might need to spend a late round pick or something.

They will need to bring someone in via FA, imo.

We are woefully thin at LB.

Lot riding on Trevathan staying healthy.
