My god this lineup might be the worst yet

No Sano, No Cruz, No Polanco, No Arraez....obviously Sauce and Kepler are on IL.

I get that guys need to rest, but we also need to win games.

Pineda's return has already been a god send for us.

Hopefully he stays a big piece for the stretch run

Looks like my old Cyborg Joe Mauer photo from cbs days has been scrubbed from the internet. So let’s go with this, a flashback to when 1 or both of our teams didn’t suck.

I think we fought you guys kinda tough ... we aren't ready for prime time yet, but I like us in 2022!!
its kinda funny.

The White Sox have the elite hitting prospects in the AL Central

but the Tigers have the elite pitching prospects. Mize, Manning and Skrubal are all top 10 pitching prospects in the big leagues.

Now you guys do not have the infrastructure like the Tribe does to spit out pitchers

but the talent with those guys is unreal and with some experience those 3 will form a great rotation down the road.

And Clevinger might be on the move, crazy.

that would be Kluber, Bauer and Clevinger all gone within a year and they have the best ERA in baseball. I just want them to acquire a bat that is MLB ready now
how good does that Bauer trade look in retrospect?

Reyes is hitting the shit out of the ball, and is young, cheap and controllable for the long term.

That does not even count Scott Moss and Logan Allen- both talented pitching prospects the Tribe will be able to put through their system.

we would be lost without Reyes.

With the rebuild, Avila has been rebuilding the minor league infrastructure. I think we will compete in 2022. The Twins have always made the best out of their team, the Indians will be solid for a few more years (if you lock up Lindor) and the ChiSox are enjoying their first (of many) years of being competitive. I like this Division.

Absolutely frustrating DH split.

Game 1 nearly flawless. Berrios had his typical headcase inning in the 6th but other than that we pitched well. We hit big homers. We got guys on base. We won 7-3 and didn't need to burn arms.

Then comes Game 2. Baldelli plays it cowardly per usual and sits multiple guys.

We get 2-0 lead. Rooker first career bomb fun to see. 3rd inning Donaldson double and Cruz walk to lead it off. Rosario on a 1-0 count and 5 straight balls does the typical Eddie rally kill swing at the eyes on a pitch that might bean him. Rally over.

Cards score 5 runs in the bottom of the 3rd on...2 hits. Yes, 2. Dobnak was bad(probably only a matter of time with this guy, his FIP shows hes very lucky) but can't fully blame him. We basically punt on rallying with Rocco allowing our bottom of the order to take AB's late. Brings in mop up relievers(down only 2). Just classic fold job by Rocco.

And Ill keep saying it. Cruz is one of the best hitters in baseball no doubt about it........but at some point later on in October hes gonna have to hit a homer with men on base.

Bad losses all around for the top 3 in the central last night.

Sox completely pulled a Twins and biffed a late game vs Pirates.

And turnbull as well who is pitching well.

Not likely all four turn out to be studs but Skubal looks the part so far.

Woah...the White Sox lost. Completely shocked. I never looked back at the score when I saw they were up 4-2 late. Wow

Turnbull needs to throw more strikes.

Not banking on him fixing that completely. He's already 27.

He's more like a 3-5 guy imo

Boyd is more like a DFA guy lately
I never thought Boyd would stick in the rotation. He greatly surpassed anything I'd hoped for his career the last couple seasons. But thought he'd turned a corner, guess I was wrong again with him. He sucks this year.

If Turnbull can stay in the rotation for most of his remaining controlled years, Avila should be able to put together a nice rotation. The movement on his pitches is excellent but there's no way he knows where it's going at times. Now Boyd.... a lot of people know where his pitches are going.
