I'm not sure I agree with that. Osweiler's stats would have looked a whole lot better if Demaryius Thomas hadn't dropped approximately 4,000 passes.

Yeah. And if the queen had a cock she would be the king. Stats are stats for a reason.

Brady--23/42, 280YDS, 3TD, 0INT, 99.3RTG, 62.3QBR
Osweiler--23/42, 270YDS, 1TD, 1INT, 72.5RTG, 35.23QBR

"Osweiler had the better game".... :L

Engineered the go ahead drive in regulation, checked to the game winning run in overtime. That looks pretty good to me.

Oh definitely. And most importantly, his team got the win. But he didn't play a better game than Brady. Not close. I would trade the stats for a win, believe me.

He had the game winning drive, twice... Isn't that how Patriot fans measured success when Brady's career got off the ground? Even though other Qb's had better stat lines in games?

C'mon Broncos, you're exaggerating a bit there!

No shit, what a terrific game and Brock looked great and played gutsy football to the end. Trying to play the stats game against what he did is silly. It was his second start against fucking Belichick. Cripes. Broncs fans have a great future to look forward to.

"Engineered" is a powerful word. Let's say he had a great close to the game and the guy looks like a winner. There were other factors that contributed to that beautiful piece of "engineering."

Those stats are pretty darned even where yards and attempts are concerned. Brady had a statistically better game, but it wasn't by much. What isn't being said is that the stats were close but one QB is first ballot HOFer and the other was starting his second game ever against a 10-0 team. I'd say since Os won he had the better game.

Absolutely. I said before that winning is all that matters. I just didn't understand how that turned into "Osweiler outplayed Brady". He didn't.

Mic drop!

...I skipped a bunch....Rock's homerism aside, are there really people who thought that Gronk pushed off on that play he got flagged on? Cripes.

You can say whatever you want to say, the stats just don't agree with you.

You really think Osweiler was that impressive? He did make a few clutch throws, but overall, he looked very much like the Tyrod Taylor/Ryan Fitzpatrick category of mediocre to me. What made him effective was having a run game that could actually move the ball. That bailed him out.

Brady threw for 10 more yards. Wow. But Oss ran for 4 yards so I guess that's a net win of 6 yards for Brady. Same completion %, same amount of sacks for nearly the same yardage. Like I said they were close. The obvious difference was Brady threw 2 more TDs and didn't have a pick. In the end Oss did enough to put his team in place to win so I think he had the better game.

He was better than Manning! :D

Don't gloss over the TD's and INT's as if they are incidental. I'll take the QB who throws 3 TD's against zero INT's over the guy who throws 1TD and 1INT every time. Osweiler played well and put his team in a position to win. But don't go rewriting his accomplishments after-the-fact. His stats are awfully pedestrian. Then again, you being a Seahawks fan are used to seeing wins come despite so-so QB play. It all makes sense now.

He also called an audible on last play of the game moving the run to left side of the field, for TD.

I'm "satisfied" with a 10-1 record and 4 Super Bowl titles in the Brady era. Osweiler wasn't very good on Sunday. Look at the stats and tell me where you see him outplaying Brady. I'll wait.....

One minute...

"Stats mean nothing!"

The next...

"Look at the stats!"

You guys are a fucking joke, man. :L

No doubt they finally seem to have a real QB since Elway

He hasn't done bad for two games.. At least you have some idea how he performs as opposed to Manning who may have a good game or may have a completely crappy game. That's a big deal.
