Being in the eye of a tornado is some scary ass shit. Had to get in the tub and pull five blankets over me. Thursday in Cypress tx got crazy. EF1.........if that's what an EF1 looks, sounds, and feels like, EF5 must be absolutely insane.

Pitch black at 5 in the afternoon. Windows rattling. Got a 30 second heads up on my phone.

that ok tornado was the loudest gd thing I,v ever heard.picked up a horse and rider and put them in a tree further up the base.the remains were,nt found for 6 weeks.

that raiders team had 3 HOF lineman on that o/line for nearly a decade and Otto is the very definition of ass kicking center

Art Shell and Gene Upshaw being the other two Olineman on Oakland. All three were great players.

There's no doubt that Jim Otto and the previously mentioned Mike Webster, were among the all-time greats of the game. The rules of the game were different and almost anything short of actual murder was allowed, but for those of us who witnessed it and were fans/followers and supporters of our team, we too had an all-time great named Len Hauss.
Time, as it too often does, gives us a perspective on events that fewer and fewer people will recall first-hand. Jim Otto, was one of many that left a lasting impression upon me and generations of people who loved the earlier versions of the game.
Rest in peace Mr. Otto... well done!

Len was an outstanding center. Playing for the 60s Redskins didn't help his cause for the HOF. Not his fault.
