Enjoy your time off dad. Sounds like you are heading to my old stomping grounds if you're going to a VA Beach. Swing on by on your way to DC.I am on the move this week for a mini vacation so I won’t be on much . Going to Va for a family gathering at the beach . Then a visit to DC with wife and daughter who have never seen. The sites .

Quite possibly the greatest player I have ever seen. Most of his really productive years were before my time but what I did see was a great 5 tool player.RIP to the “ say hey kid “. Willy Mays , one of the best ever to do if
I think it comes with age. There was a time when I knew most players on most teams across the four major sports. Mostly I concentrate on the home teams now. Football and hockey are my two favorites but I just have the time to follow as I used to. There are a lot more diversions these days too.I've come to realize that I'm not as big of a hockey fan as I used to be. Growing up I could run down every roster in the league. I'm more of a Caps fan than a hockey fan now. What I wouldn't give for one last cup run.
I like this.

Haven't lost any of my passion for the Skins. Have to admit though I didn't watch a ton of Caps this year. In the 80s I was a huge hockey fan. Then became more of a Caps fanAt first I thought it was Norv Turner who sucked away my passion. I was in my 40's and noticed 3rd and 7 no longer had me pacing the floor. Then I noticed it with other sports and talked to my friends. It seems most everyone loses their passion in their 40's, at least according to the people I have spoke with.
That happened to me at 30. Catching up on the NHL free agent frenzy, and I have no idea who half of the players are. I do play very large 30 team baseball leagues, so I know a lot there, but that’s it.I think it comes with age. There was a time when I knew most players on most teams across the four major sports.
