That is actually your opinion. It did have something to do with it for Krush because he said the article specifically about the Redskins name and its owner hit home after Charlottesville. It really didn't become political until you guys decided to make it a political thread.

If you don't want to be involved in a political discussion regarding the Redskins, don't open up a thread called Redskins name debate.

To answer your question, the media is painting Charlottesville as hate and hate speech. The redskins name is offensive according to them and is considered hate speech. Once the true outrage passes and the name comes back up, they will try to tie them in.

Oh yes...whiny and bitchy. When you run to Dad, not saying you, in private and cry that somebody says something political in nature, yes that is bitchy and whiny. Isn't Krush also a moderator? Just saying.

I actually agree with skinsdad and others that we're better off with out it. I think it's easy to see just from this how easy it is to spiral off topic and into purely political stuff even if Krusheasy (or anybody else) meant well and saw a genuine connection.

this is a sports talk site ... so people are going to have different perspectives.

As skinsdad mentioned, he has not been involved in these discussions with us 24 hours a day for the past 4 years .... so I would give him the benefit of the doubt when it comes to opinions which he might have (Cousins only worth 14mil per) that we as a forum have already come to a consensus about.

Oh I never suggested banning him. But to a degree it would be like me coming into your house when you and your wife couldnt decide how to deal with your child. And me coming out and saying, well he is a dumb little shit any way, you should just give him up for adoption and try again in a few years, maybe you will come out with a kid worth having around.
