Oh I never suggested banning him.

didnt mean you necessarily ... but this board has a bad reputation for not being friendly to outsiders.

i would hope that as long as "outsiders" follow our guidelines

(which I feel he went above & beyond by altering his signature)

members of our fan base could tolerate other peoples opinions

in my opinion it only makes for a more active & lively community

My only beef with him is the beef I have with many...

Change the rules or change the facts.

Think people need to stop taking things so seriously. I'm allowed to have my opinions and am allowed to express them. There are ways to respectfully have a conversation with someone. Have YET to find a Redskins fan able to do that.

his posts come off as thoughtful, relevant & on topic

i do not understand your opinion.

you think he is being condescending ?

Terry, started a thread on the general board and predicted a Redskins record of 3-13. Ask yourself this...why would anyone after posting such nonsense who wasn’t trolling be a regular poster on our board?

I have no problem with those discussions on the smack talk board or general board. But, IMO this is the same type of MF’r who just picked up your daughter at your house, looked you in the eye and said they were just going to dinner and a movie and will be back at 11. You believe that shit? I don’t.

It's all good Krush, HTTR my brother.

Ya'll do recognize Terry is trolling our board right? Been saying that about this MF'r from day 1. I admit to trolling dumb ass Cowboy fans on the general board, and the smack talk thread on their site when they get out of hand. But I also know, and follow the rules of engagement on the hoop.

Our mods need to keep this MF'r in the appropriate lane. Otherwise, it might get ugly.

Been following the rules man. Not my fault you take things too seriously.

Well I slightly take offense at that. Because while I admit I can be a dick at times, I think I do a pretty good job of not making it personal and handle myself pretty well in a respectful exchange of opinions.

Dean has ulterior motives though. He has been on the fuck Kirk Cousins band wagon since about 2 minutes 45 seconds left in the week 17 game. :thumb:

this is where you start getting into the area of trolling . i have let you have your say and i have debated you , i have not called you any names . i have never even threatened you for your opinions . they disagree with you , sometimes your facts arent right but submitting to your POV doesnt mean disrepsect

to those calling for action on terry , i am not doing a damn thing until if/when he comsistently breaks rules . so far he hasnt done anything but engage in debate and its nowhere near some of the bloodbaths i have had with dean and others
you dont want to deal with him block him but he will be allowed to post here until it is deemed he is breaking rules

so far i asked him to remove a political signature and he did he was respectful so that is it

post away terry

I love intelligent conversations. Part of an intelligent conversation is admitting you are wrong. You don't do that. You change the narrative or amend what you said.

You think everything you say is right and everything I say is wrong. So you're going into a "debate" as trying to prove that I'm wrong with everything you say. You were wrong about Matt Ryan not having success in his first two seasons because I provided facts that back that statement up. Have I called you out on that? No, because it's not relevant to what we're talking about. I've also provided facts that I have based my opinions on and you shoot them down as wrong because you don't agree. The thing you bring to the table is "well Kirk Cousins has been starter for 2 years and has won a division title. How many other QBs can say they've won the division title in 50% of their seasons." That's a BS argument and you know it. The only thing I've been corrected on is when I said Kirk Cousins hasn't had 2 back to back winning seasons. You got me there. Other than that, you assume it's a correction because you assume that you're right in a debate where no one is right because it's opinion based.

The unfortunate thing I've learned about Redskins fans since joining the Hoop is that they are already right even if they are wrong and don't you dare disparage the Redskins because you'll have a gang of people to jump down your throat and tell you you're wrong. So needless to say I won't be posting in here anymore because 95% you can't debate with anyone who has a differing opinion than you.

I stick to the facts and seldom interject my opinion. That makes me right a lot.

Was I wrong on Matt Ryan? He made the playoffs once in his two seasons. At best, that puts him on par with KC. Now consider how bad his division was did he do anything special in those two seasons. The answer is nope. So I would change that to Atlanta was on par with Washington...not Ryan was as successful as KC.

When you base individual success on winning a team game, is 50% of the time winning the division a BS argument, especially when you bring up division titles? When you base individual success on winning, is it BS to bring up Dilfer and with a Marino comparison?

Makes you right a lot? You've been wrong twice in just this latest conversation by sticking to your "facts".

How bad was the NFC East in 2015? The NFC East was a shit show in 2015 with the Redskins as the only team with a winning record. 2016 the NFC was a tough division. But in 2008, the NFC South all had at least a .500 records with the Panthers winning 12 games. In 2009, the Super Bowl champions were from the NFC South. So that argument, that the NFC South division was weak in Matt Ryan's first two seasons is complete BS.

Winning is the main factor, or at least SHOULD be when factoring in how much someone is paid. The Dan Marino/Trent Dilfer comparison, which by the way YOU brought up, not me, is even more BS. Noone is saying that winning Super Bowls automatically makes you a great QB. It certainly helps, but if you have other success to back it up, for example, division titles, conference championships, playoff wins, individual statistics, MVP awards, Pro Bowls...it helps your case if you haven't won a super bowl. Individual success is mostly based on winning. Noone can deny that. Because you can throw 5,000 yards all you want but if you can't make the playoffs or win a playoff game, that hinders how you are viewed as a QB. But it's not the ONLY thing to look at when comparing QBs.

I stand corrected on 2008. Impressive but Ryan had little to do with the success on a performance stance. 09 the division was much weaker.

@Terry Rode So I have an honest question for you.

Say Ben retires at the end of the season, the Steelers finished a respectable 11-5 but got bounced in the first round of the playoffs.

Would you

1. Sign Grap or McCarron at a rate of between $22-25M per season
2. Trade up to take a rookie because thats the only way to ensure you are going to get the guy you want
3. Sign Kirk in the range of $25-27M per season

We have a QB that we drafted, Joshua Dobbs, he seems to be the heir apparent to Ben when he retires. We also have Landry Jones but I am not confident in him whatsoever. The bad thing about having a QB like Ben is when he retires, hope goes down the tubes for the next QB unless he's shown that he is capable of handling the pressure and so far, neither Dobbs or Jones has impressed very much. Thankfully we have people in the Steelers FO that know that Ben is nearing his final year so we have kinda planned for this.

Trading up to take a rookie is not a good move because if you are in a position in the draft where you don't have a top 10 pick, you were probably a .500 team which, for the Redskins, is pretty on par with what Cousins will deliver. There's really no way you can get mad at the Redskins for finishing 7-9, 8-8 or 9-7 because that's the QB that Cousins is. If I were a fan of the Redskins, I'd want them to do something that will get them over the hump of always being on the edge of making the playoffs every year. For all you know, Sam Darnold or Josh Allen might be the savior of the franchise. Worked for Dallas, Oakland, seems to be working in Tampa Bay and Tennessee. Looking towards the draft MIGHT be the answer for the Redskins but that is a HUUUGE risk to take. So if we're being honest here, the best thing for Washington to do is pay Cousins the money, no matter how outrageous of a number it is. With that said, I still don't agree that Cousins is worth that much, but if you don't want to take that big of a risk, pay the man his money. Because the free agent QBs don't look very good aside from Brees and I feel that Brees is done after this year.
