The situation in Israel is far different than our southern border, they are actually at war with another side. Since you want too play, remove all guns and personnel at the their borders and we'll see how well their wall does. You know, that's actually the point, manpower, technology and not structures, especially a 7,000 mile long wall that displaces landowners and farmers in modern day U.S. will do what no wall can, albeit, without the disruption.

NK is all fencing except at checkpoints, or as we refer to them, legal points of entry. I have proof. It's a DMZ or safe zone, you know this! The Berlin Wall was breached numerous times, those exact numbers cannot be accurately detailed, but one thing is certain since you want to invoke this structure, it is the absolute argument for not building one at the southern border, unless of course...

If they worked, and there's already structures there, why isn't it working in your opinion? Lack of manpower and technical support perhaps? Once again, there is no crisis at our border, period. In fact there are more people returning than coming, that is a fact! Most drugs and illegal crossings happen at legal ports of entry, that too is a fact! Traffic is already reduced to a level that's the lowest in a very long time and don't attempt to give credit to dude, it has happened over a period of time.

Clearly you don't know what drones are used for and I'll not blame you for not knowing something but here's a newsflash, they don't arrest or stop but they can give an early heads-up including pin point answers to where, to those who do.

I'm not worried about costs at all, just waste, and general nonsense. A 7,000 mile wall that will take years of civil trials to make way for the initial construction to begin and is without a doubt the least effective way to secure the border there is, if it's ever built.

A wall doesn't assign blame nor innocence to people unless the reason for building it is intended to do exactly that. Immigration is uniquely blended into the life blood of this nation, we've seen what restricting immigration to certain types did before and that in part, led to WWII.

So here we have proof of a major AMERICAN company. INtentionally creating a drug crisis. Worse also planning to profit off that crisis by selling not only the addiction, but the cure... for a cost of course. And you think the main issue is not that the addiction was done intentionally, but that once people could not afford to LEGALLY feed their addiction, or treat it....

No the real problem and clear and present danger is now that people who were victimized by Americans, have turned to illegal drugs because they cant afford, or get access to the legal stuff.

This is a problem that America created, yet now we are blaming the Mexicans.

No, they are blaming PEOPLE who are guilty.

Some Mexicans, not all of them, are guilty of "their part" of the problem. And some Americans, not all of them, are guilty of "their part" of the problem.

Both ends of the problem need to be addressed.

When the president of the United states is shown the extensive tunneling system under current structures and continues to insist upon building more of the same, there's no other way to describe it than a monument of stupidity. He's selling something that he knows won't work because he campaigned on that and there's truly no way to tell the gullible that he wasn't being serious about it. It caught the imagination of some people, in fact he often bragged about it, citing his well know call and response "who's going to build it!?" "Mexico!!!"

Did you know that the largest current avenue of illegal entry of people and drugs is through Michigan? Maybe if there's really a concern over such things, the focus ought to be there.

Do people cross the border where there is no barrier or tunnel? Of course they do. Put up a wall and fewer cross. Easy fix.

Then, go onto the next issue with the tunnels. Blow them up. Put armed guards at the exit.

As for Michigan, I highly doubt the validity of the claim; however, increase the presence there.

4. Beefing up the number of judges and ancillary personnel needed to hear cases.

Guess what's missing? You see it's a absolute lie that people who don't want a wall are then for no border security (open borders) What's at stake is the difference between a medieval structure and modern more intelligent means in which to secure our borders.

Not a new one or any extension of existing ones, we can skip any new walls and go directly to dealing with tunnels, or other means of getting beyond existing barriers. Why waste the money doing something that requires a second something to further secure?

Yep! point is, wall or no wall, it's going to take people to effectively secure the border. Why waste it on things, like a wall, that has little to no actual deterrent effect, when there are much better instruments available that strengthens what we already have? I've read all the posts here and there's not one that addresses this point. Why? I suspect that the politics of that simple minded thing ( a wall) is carrying the conversation.

Anyone who says no, is simply playing politics against an avalanche of professionals, who insist that there are much better ways to do so.

I have already stated the reason for a wall is to make existing counters more effective and efficient.

Actually, there are better ways, but too many of you are against killing people.

There are also an avalanche of people who state a wall will be effective. I have already stated the most effective thing is to go after employers and deny any and all benefits to people in the country illegally. When I say go after employers, I mean destroy them and they will no longer be employers, and their personal assets will also be seized.
