Off Season Thread

Football is a passion of mine and something I have been working to build up to maybe something bigger. Right now our podcast is closing in on 10,000 people listening to us every week. I don't say that to completely brag but to say that it has taken a lot of painstaking hours wondering if this is worth it to get it built up to that and hopefully beyond. I know that if I am going to build that to even more I have to put in a lot of work to make it great. So that means I work to be the smartest/most informed person on a team or player.

I got no problem that. And I do believe you watch a lot of ball, and break it down. Like you said you get paid for it. But you break down Bronco ball, more than everything else.. Oh I'm sure you break down some RAIDER ball, but just not enough time to just focus on breaking down RAIDER ball. So you go to the stats to make an argument.

That wouldn't make me a closet Raider fan. It would mean that I work hard to understand my enemy. I can guarantee you the Broncos are doing the exact same thing. they watch a ton of their opponents. Yes they spent time self evaluating what they do to try and get better but they spend countless hours just watching film on the opposing team. Right now though I guess just have to agree to disagree on who watches more.

You do not watch more RAIDER ball than me dude. And it's pretty silly to say you do on an open forum like this.
Now I'm sure you do watch the RAIDERS play, like a lot of different fans. I watch the Broncos play at times. That don't mean I know more Bronco ball than you, or does it??

Well if you watch every game they have played leading up to the game against the Raiders and then rewatch some of the plays over and over and over again to try and understand why the Broncos had success against certain things and why they failed at others. How you would attack them and what players you think can have success against them. If you figured out what type of plays they like to run in the red zone or key 3rd down down and distances. Then yes I would say you watch as much Bronco football as I do. That is what I do every time the Broncos play the Raiders. So that means twice a year I go through every game the Raiders have played and take down notes on everything I see. That means many times I have to keep rewinding games over and over again to make sure I fully understand what I'm looking at.

And I don't think it is all that silly.

Yeah I watch every Raiders game. That is what I meant was the Raiders/Jaguars game. Not pretty at least from the Jaguar perspective. Blake Bortles is not a good QB and should be out of this league.

Night man. From what I understand Bortles has all but been benched and might be their 3rd string QB this year. So other than preseason or becuase of injury I don't think you are going to get a chance to judge his play this year.

Crazy how Bortles can be ranked in the top 100 and throw for crazy yards and TDs one year, then somehow forgets how to play ball. Still young though, so at least theres that.

Man, Lynch is going to be good this year, IMO
He got two carries for 10 yards, but he looked explosive and fast. He just needed one block and he would of been GONE!!

After watching some more replays from that catch Coop made? Damn! Dude is going to seriously blow it up this year, huge numbers! The the nasty move Crabs put on was awesome as well.
And im not talking Roberts, Patterson or Holton yet. That RAIDER offense will be a tough cover for ANY defense.
Carr = MVP this year.

What a show man.
My RAIDERS won the first half of the preseason game 13 -10 when the starters were playing. Who cares after that, it's just getting work in by then.. Although some of them young puppy RAIDER players look pretty good!!

Then we had a huge fight that didn't disappoint! Man what a GOOD fight!!

So, with preseason now pretty much over for the starters, I'm good with what I seen from the RAIDERS.
They are going to be one fun azz team to watch! Carr for MVP
Coop will be unstoppable this year. Crabs will beast and the NEW WR Patterson is going to toast DBs!!
The run game with Lynch, Washington, Richard and Olawale running behind the best OL in the league? Forget about it.

The defense? Well they won't be that Raven defense of old, but it will good enough to win in this league. And that's all you need.. Super young defense that's getting better as they learn the system. And Conley has yet to even play. Although he's close now to playing.

Yeah that didn't take long. Heck Stafford won't either here pretty soon. Wait till it's time to pay MM and Winston, DAMN!

So the RAIDERS lockup Seth Roberts for an extra two years. SWEET!!
Roberts is clutch, and a great blocker!! Reggie knows how to pick them, and develop them.
RAIDERS have another young pup in Holton that's a Roberts clone in the making. We good at WR!!
