230 million garunteed over 5 years per Florio. The Browns don't have particularly good weapons on the outside and they play in a wind tunnel. Not really a great spot for a QB other than the $$$

Wonder what they can get for Baker

I don't really know what to make of Watson. The most recent developments (in my mind) for the guy were: 1) Being the starting qb of a team that blew a 24-0 lead in the second quarter of the playoffs. 2) Signing on 180 million dollar deal, staying healthy all season and putting up ridiculous numbers for a team that won 4 games. 3) Disgruntled employee because the front office of his organization is a clown show (same organization that gave him the big contract before the season). 4) Guy that is asked to stay home from team after 20+ sexual assault allegations. 5) Player that has four franchises falling all over themselves for his services after criminal case is dropped. 6) Player that receives a 48 million dollar raise as the new savior of Cleveland.

What am I missing?

Obi?

No. Got hurt against the Raiders and missed the rest of the playoffs.

I wonder if he didn't know he needed the physical.

yea, we will probably sign him, but with a deal contingent on how many games he actually plays. the foot injury was pretty serious and he will have continue rehabbing, but take his time.

I'm just throwing out a guess on what happened. Once Baker refused to play for the Browns they got desperate and gave Watson a financial deal he couldn't turn down.Giving up the picks is one thing but the picks plus that contract? How do they make the team better in the draft or FA?

The X factor in these in the types of deals is how the team getting the new player finishes in the standings the next couple years. The Rams obviously don't care about the Stafford trade cost because he immediately won them a SB but ironically the picks they gave the Lions have less value because of the deep playoff run. Stafford for the 32nd pick in the draft is a much better deal for them than Stafford for the 8th pick. If Watson plays at a top 5 QB level on a team with a top 5 running game they should be ready to win right away. I guess that's what the Browns are banking on.

the Browns are going to implode again.

anyway,

no deal for Collins:

I thought this would be a great deal to protect our QB, and the news said the "deal was close"
but the Bengals were worried about his injury history, my guess is the bengals at least made an offer.

I guess they figure they are ok with Reiff

Reports are now emerging that he is at the Kenwood Mall. I'm not joking.

I'm pretty sure he is borrowing Burrow's glasses. That's a good thing.

I'm not an NFL Insider.... But if I was, my guess is that the Bengals are waiting on some medical information..... Maybe the orthopedic specialist is on the golf course and can't be bothered to look at an MRI on Collins hip or knee.

BTW - This would be better if he were at the Dayton Mall. I would love it if Collins were to officiate a Bengals board fight.

Karras, Cappa, Collins from C/RG/RT....Mixon gonna run wild - and Burrow gonna have some time. Gonna have a chance to be really, really good on offense.

Outside of injury nothing is stopping them from being the best offense in the NFL imo

I also like Hall or Walker as a dark horse pick at 31 in the draft now that they're free to go BPA.

If the guys are healthy, it should be something to watch.... You can't blitz Burrow too often because he'll kill you. If you only rush 4, Burrow might now find himself with some time for those receivers to get separation. This will also be the first time Mixon will run behind a competent line.

And don't sleep on the D.... They're running back the exact unit that started the Super Bowl - A game that they certainly played well enough as a unit to win. Just didn't get enough from the offense that day.

so the starting line looks like:

Jonah
Kappa
Carras
Hakeem the American Dream Adeniji vs Jackson Carman
Collins

I suppose Reiff will sign with another team, although his injury might belay that.
I don't think Hakeem or Jackson would be a huge weakness if they are surrounded by a good squad. Hakeem was even considered for the pro-bowl at one point.

mike brown was like, “I’m gonna build a wall!!!”
Judging by his appearance in the AFCN trophy presentation - Mike Brown has no idea they are spending his money...LOL

Cappa is RG.

Carmen will get a shot at LG, and I'm going to guess they throw Smith in there, who was really close to winning the RG job last year before he got hurt (I think?).

Still think they'll grab 1-2 OL in the middle portions of the draft. Probably rounds 3-5, as there is some quality depth there and the Bengals will have 2-3 years to work with these kids and groom them under great players like Cappa, Karras, and Collins.
