I thought Gronc was going to get the cover but with the whole deflate gate thing going on and patriots fans getting arrested protesting EA probably felt that they should stay away from all that negativity

It started with Garrison Hearst, who appeared on the cover of a Madden NFL game in 1999, only to break his ankle shortly thereafter.
