you are almost right, except that bevell has a history of taking talented players and making them underachieve. percy harvin and jimmy graham are glaring examples.
They weren't full articles, just mentions about him mostly in radio interviews I listened to on Seahawks podcasts. You kinda have to 'read between the lines,' so to speak, because these commentators are always couching what they're saying in vague language because they don't want to burn bridges. Stuff about his personality gets mentioned a LOT.
I find it kinda' amusing that you don't see how a quiet reserved guy would struggle a bit in the highly testosterone laden alpha-male dominated world of pro football. Especially when it's billionaires who are playing with their toys who signing the cheques.

How did Harvin do in the Superbowl? Oh wait... NVM...
How did Bevell us Harvin his first two years in Minnesota? Oh wait... NVM..
How did Harvin do when he left the Hawks and became a Jet and Bill? Oh wait... NVM...
You have no substance...
we got a SB kick return out of harvin, was it worth it? yes, it was.
was it all that we expected? hell no, for what we gave up harvin was a HUGE bust for us.
but its not just harvin, its graham too. 3 years in and graham is scoring TDs but doing literally nothing else for the offense.
We got more than just a KR from him in the SB... He was a spark on offense in the 1st half that helped us build the lead due to the way they utilized him... He had 2 rushes in the first half, one was for 30 yards and the 2nd was for 15 yards... Those were huge runs that loosened up the defense... The KR was the opening kick of the 2nd half...
It wasn't Harvin at all because Bevell obviously knew how to utilize him in Minnesota... And FTR, I've never said Bevell was/is a very good OC, I just don't believe in the criticism or blame he's received from Hawk fans...
I think it's time for changes though, things have gotten stale, kind a flat, were still a good team, but this window is gonna really shut soon if we don't try and spice it up a bit... I would love to see both coordinators replaced honestly... Bring in a good veteran defensive coach, and bring in a proven O-coordintor... Get healthy, re-tool, come back strong in 2018...
but outside of that, bevell showed his inability to get anything out of an extremely talented player..

Personally I've been impressed with Richards once all the injuries depleted the secondary. Love the blitzes called to cover up for the secondary. As for the run D, no Kam and a less then healthy Wagner to go along with a depleted secondary, well it gets tough.
Listened to KJ Wright talking about players not staying in their gap in the first half today. Sounded right to me.
As bad as Bevell is, Russell Wilson makes it nearly impossible to be a good OC all the time guys. His strength is doing what is not called, not doing what is called because of his height. Maybe Bevell isn't the answer but Bill Walsh can't make this offense a top tier offense without a back like Lynch who can make a crappy Oline look good with his negative 2 yard runs that turn into positive two yards.
i would argue that wilson has masked a lot of the problems this offense has.
I would argue that you have rose-colored glasses when it comes to Russell "I can do no wrong" Wilson...
